[Company strength]
Since its establishment in 1943, our biggest strength is the “scheme design force” backed by technology and know-how of sand mold casting accumulated over many years. We design the optimum manufacturing method, from pouring through to cooling and coagulation, to deliver world-unique prototypes that our customers demand. We use an inspection device that can analyze the element level, to raise the quality of raw materials and produce cast products having excellent homogeneity and rigidity, with a high yield. We can stably manufacture prototypes at the mass production level, previously though to be impossible by sand mold casting, by using our original sand mold low-pressure casting technology in which the filling speed and temperature are finely controlled according to the raw material and shape.

Since its establishment in 1943, our company has expanded in the field of light metal alloy casting and machining. In particular, we have a solid track record in developing prototype vehicles in the automotive industry, and we have been expanding our prototype casting business into other industries in recent years (aluminum alloy casting, precision machining and various other types of metal casting).

[Rapid prototyping]
We input 3D modeling data into a sand layered modeling apparatus, to create the mold directly. As we create the mold by using 3D data, we can omit the wooden mold manufacturing process, marking inspection and non-contact measurement/inspection, thus drastically shortening the delivery time. As R&D in the automotive industry increasingly require greater speed for a broad mix of products in small volumes, we supply sand mold cast products made by using 3D printers, as an advanced technology to meet such demands.

Our company is a casting manufacturer which supplies development prototype casting parts with high quality in short delivery times. We actively invest in plant and equipment and cultivate human resources, to establish a system for consistent production by creating CAD data, producing wooden molds, and performing high-precision casting, machining and quality inspection. Under the slogan “the plant is the greatest product”, we focus on craftsmanship while directly examining upstream areas including “actual site”, “actual product” and “improvement”. As our corporate philosophy, we build relationships of coexistence and symbiosis with customers who support us in our production activities.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We established Hokuriku Light Metal Thailand Co., Ltd. in September 2012 in the suburbs of Bangkok, Thailand as a base for sales and studies. We completed a production plant for sand mold aluminum cast products in November 2014 in Bang Sai, Ayutthaya Province, Thailand, for producing prototype parts and high-mix low-volume parts, and started production in August 2015.
