[Company strength]
Our track record includes the delivery of evaluation apparatus and manufacturing equipment for research & development of optical discs to major electric appliance manufacturers all over the world, which are highly regarded. We have developed residual stress measuring devices using X-rays in order to widely utilize our extensive technologies in the research & development of optical discs. We have made significant efforts to expand into the health care field. We received the required permission for manufacturing medical devices from Shizuoka Prefecture in 2014, and we also intend to acquire ISO013485 certification, the international standard for the quality management system for medical equipment in September 2016. Our existing products contribute to improved productivity and quality for customers for labor-saving equipment and inspection facilities that are difficult to handle.

[Business description]
We manufacture and sell electronic application equipment and devices. We engage in the manufacture and sales of electronic equipment with optical-related inspection equipment as a main product. We have strong technical skills related to light and are experts in the optical disc field. We have focusing on research & development-oriented Monozukuri enterprises, and, in recent years, have applied our optical technology to three-dimensional scanners, the medical field, etc. We were listed in the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in March 2000. We develop and sell high-grade optical-system products for enterprises including factories; we do not deal with products for the consumer market.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We have developed various products such as X-ray residual stress measuring devices, optical disc-related evaluation devices, 3D canners and optical application products, which are our main products, while utilizing elemental technologies. We employ technical experts in each field of optics, electricity, mechanics and software; therefore, regardless of the main product fields, we can also develop equipment and devices with special specifications and can propose appropriate solutions for various needs. Our portable residual stress measuring device can measure the residual stress, half width and amount of residual austenite ten times as fast as conventional devices. We have created small, light, low-price portable devices for nondestructive inspections on site, which has been impossible until now.

From the very beginning, we have worked to develop leading-edge technology and build a research & development-oriented Monozukuri enterprise that contributes to the development of industry society and consistently develops products that meet customers’ needs. Our poor business results, however, have continued due to the stagnant main business and the delay in new businesses for the past several years. All our staff will consider and decide what our customers want, and what is effective for the future, without being tied by the past and present, and will take actions quickly.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
The Business Department is based at the head office in Hamamatsu City and the Tokyo Business Office, and has 24 employees. The Overseas Sales Division carries out activities with a subsidiary company in the U.S.A. and divides its areas into Europe, China, South Korea, Southeast Asia, etc. We are working on the development of overseas sales mainly by utilizing agencies.
