Akiya Seisakusho Co., Ltd.

We offer high-mix low-volume production of products made from a wide range of materials such as metal and resin.

Our company manufactures various metal and resin products in small lots. We handle parts for robots and other industrial machines, measuring instrument parts, medical equipment parts, automotive parts, and cosmetics containers. Our company was established in 1947 and we have a long corporate history. Our mainline business used to be clock part manufacturing, but we shifted our system to high-mix low-volume production and are establishing an environment for precision machining. We also have many skilled workers and an integrated system from general machining to drilling and punching. We machined titanium 64 earlier than any other parties in the industry, which illustrates how we can provide machining technologies regardless of the material. We are now focused on the aerospace industry.

[Company strength]
Our company was established in 1947 and we have a history of over 65 years. We started out by manufacturing clock parts for a major clock manufacturer, and then shifted our system from clock-oriented production to high-mix low-volume production. We greatly extended our equipment from 2000 to 2012, and established an environment for a broad range of precision machining. We have many experienced engineers and satisfy customer needs.

[Business description]
We are a manufacturer of metal and resin products that mainly engages in high-mix low-volume production. We provide a wide range of products from parts for robots and other industrial machines to measuring instrument parts, medical equipment parts, automotive parts, and cosmetics containers.

[Industry]
Metal part manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
We excel at precision machining. Our company has only a small labor force but we can satisfy orders from general machining to drilling and punching (pressing) because we have various kinds of equipment. We machined titanium 64 earlier than any other parties in the industry. We provide machining technologies for all kinds of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, tungsten, difficult-to-machine materials, and special alloys. We can handle parts from diameter 1 to 300 mm.

[Representative's message]
Our company’s standard is to enhance our equipment environment and reduce defects to zero. We handle all kinds of precision processing. Our mainline business was clock part manufacturing for a major clock manufacturer until about the 1970s. We shifted our system from clock-oriented production to high-mix low-volume production when clock production shifted overseas. We still manufacture parts for special clocks. Our parts can be found in the automaton clock on the wall of the exhibition hall on the first floor of the Small and Medium Enterprise Center. We will continue to strive to develop sales channels while taking on the challenge of developing processing technologies that are more difficult than our current operations.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We excel at precision machining. Our company only has a small labor force but we can satisfy orders from general machining to drilling and punching (pressing). This is because we possess various kinds of equipment. We are a small company with a labor force of 10 people. All of our staff are naturally particular about their own technical power. We will proactively participate in future events with a focus on sales and with sales channel cultivation in mind. We will establish a system where our processing workers also sell in-house processing technologies while promoting sales.
