We support social infrastructure such as electric power materials and equipment as well as insulators for new traffic systems. This is based on our tableware manufacturing, which is our root technology. We handle many joining products. We have a track record in producing X-ray transmission beryllium windows with a window thickness of 8 μm. This is much thinner than ordinary super-thin beryllium windows, which have a thickness from about several dozen to several hundred μm. Our products are utilized by medical equipment manufacturers for measuring equipment and analysis equipment. We developed a fused titanium metallization method, which is our original metallization joining technology, and expanded our business to airtight joining of ceramics and metal as well as different-type metals. Our technology has become indispensable for vacuum-related equipment.

Molten titanium metallization method
Non-metallic materials such as ceramics, and metallic materials have different crystal structures and are very difficult to join. To join them firmly and in an airtight manner, it is necessary to metalize the surface of ceramics or non-metallic materials so that it can be switched to the joining of two metal materials. Usually, covering the surface of ceramics or non-metallic materials with metal is called metalizing, and its quality greatly affects the bondability. Our metallization method is a self-developed molten titanium metallization method that uses the reaction of melted titanium.

Airtight bonding of alumina ceramics and aluminum
In addition to the newly developed composition of metallization paste and aluminum brazing material, we modified the heat curve during blazing, which consequently reduced damage to the ceramics, and realized airtight bonding with no cracks.  The ceramics are aluminum Al2O3 (99%), and for the aluminum, it uses pure aluminum A1050 and A3003. Since it is lightweight, further applications are expected to be developed for the automobile and aerospace fields, in addition to non-magnetic areas.

Our company was founded in 1877 as a tableware manufacturer in Seto City, Aichi, which has long been known as a porcelain town. We have been working to supply products and services that satisfy the needs of the times through Monozukuri craftsmanship since our foundation. We support social infrastructure such as insulators for new traffic systems, including electric power materials and equipment. We focus on metallization, which has been established as a new technology. We are also expanding our business to the field of airtight joining of ceramics and metal as well as different-type metals. Our products are used in various fields related to vacuum equipment and so on.


[Strength of products/technologies]
We handle many joining products produced by metallization and brazing. These include aluminum/ceramic, titanium/ceramic and other special joining articles, beryllium windows, water-cooled heat sinks, and so on. We have a particularly good track record in achieving beryllium windows with thicknesses from 8 μm. Ordinary beryllium super-thin windows have a thickness from about several dozen to several hundred μm. We are one of the few manufacturers that can join such thin beryllium windows. Our water-cooled heat sinks are designed such that the whole contact surface is uniformly cooled. We have added the value of flow passage design to respond to customer requests in addition to the brazing technology we have cultivated to date.

We have extended our technology power mainly to Asia, but we also want to expand to markets in Europe and America in our future overseas business. We have employed English-speaking staff, enhanced our English-language website, and considered participating in overseas exhibitions. We aim to expand our business worldwide.

We have set up sales bases in Tokyo, Osaka, and Hiroshima. We transmit information about our company mainly through our website and by participating in exhibitions. We made our website in Japanese, Korean, and English. We are particular about providing fresh information by frequently updating our website (four to five times a year). We have shown our products at exhibitions including VACUUM, Techno Frontier-Thermal Design Fair, Lighting Japan, and so on.
