T Plan Co., Ltd.
We are an engineering company that has developed a solar power storage system.
We are expanding our business with a focus on engineering services and electricity storage systems for automobile manufacturers and electric appliance manufacturers. We have entered fields related to renewable energy by making use of the expertise and experience on electricity, electronics, and machines that we have accumulated by providing engineering services. We mainly manufacture and sell natural energy storage systems that make use of solar power generation. We developed our original Aozora Concept electricity storage system in government-industry cooperation. Electricity is efficiently produced by a solar panel and stored in a battery, and can be used as an AC 100V power supply, which is the same as commercial power.
Other presentation
[Company strength] We possess characteristic technology on electricity, electronics, and machines that we have accumulated to date by providing engineering services for design, development, production technology, and so on. We developed our Aozora Concept product based on this technology in cooperation with a university and public R&D institute in our prefecture. We have responded to Oita Prefecture’s promotion of the use of renewable energy, and participated in energy enterprise meetings sponsored by the Oita Prefectural Government. We propose our products as storage equipment for ultra-compact electric vehicles (EVs), which are expected to become popular in the future, to enterprises that use ultra-compact EVs. We also suggest our products to administrative bodies, and sightseeing service industries. [Business description] We started our business in 2006 to support Monozukuri craftsmanship enterprises. We provide manufacturers of automobiles, electric appliances, and so on with engineering services such as design, development, and production technology. We are gradually expanding our equipment maintenance business regarding maintenance and inspection of monitoring instruments related to turbines in power plants operated by Kyushu Electric Power. Providing such services led to our wish to participate in Monozukuri craftsmanship ourselves, and we were interested in applied products in the renewable energy field. This is why we developed our Aozora Concept natural energy storage system, which makes use of solar power generation. We are now conducting demonstrations and sales of this product. [Industry] Electricity storage system manufacturing; engineering consulting and consignment development and design services [Strength of products/technologies] Our Aozora Concept natural energy storage system is a completely independent power supply, and a product that enables local production of energy for local consumption. Electricity is efficiently produced by a solar panel and stored in a battery, and can be used as an AC 100V power supply, which is the same as commercial power. The storage capacity is sufficient to charge 2.5 ultra-compact EVs. Our product can also be used as a power supply for emergency use. Foundation work is not required for this structure, so there is no installation cost. Our product also has the advantage of being highly resistant to strong winds, because we have adopted a mechanism with which the solar panel moves with the wind. [Representative's message] We are a small engineering services company, but we are taking on the challenge of our Aozora Concept business. The basic concept is local production for local consumption of energy. We are trying to make small but steady steps from a small area for a future connection to realizing a sustainable society and revitalization of the local community. Our Aozora Concept is an effective power supply system for business operators and sightseeing service operators that make use of ultra-compact EVs on isolated islands and in mountain areas. It was developed so that it can also be utilized as an emergency power supply. We want to work even harder to convey our concept throughout Japan and to overseas customers. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We are a small-scale enterprise, so we do not have a large sales organization. The director of our sales department and our president take charge of sales activities. The director of the sales department can respond in detail to questions about technical specifications. A specialist engineer will also visit the customer and provide necessary support regarding further details. We have engineers from foreign countries who are also fluent in Japanese, so we can provide English-language support over the telephone or in writing, including e-mail. [Market share/Ranking] Our sales are not¬ yet significant enough to discuss market share, but we can refer to the Pico Grid System as an example from another company. This was announced by Denso in May 2015, and has been under demonstration on the company’s premises. [Awards and media coverage] [Awards] Oita Prefecture Global Warming Prevention Activity Promotion Center Director’s Award (2013). [Media] Mainichi Shimbun (January 22, 2013), and Oita Godo Shimbun (July 2 and February 26, 2013). [Authorization/Certification] Oita Prefecture Management Innovation Project (2013 and March 2015). Oita Prefecture Trial Ordering Enterprise approval. [Joint research and development] We filed a patent application on support equipment for solar cell panels and solar power generation equipment (Japanese Unexamined Patent Application No. 2013-187531). We acquired Design Registration No. 1476461, and Trademark Registration No. 5680306. [Main Clients / Business History (domestic)] Our products have long been demonstrated at the 7-Eleven Japan Nakatsu Inumaru Shop, Nakatsu City Office, Nakatsu Chamber of Commerce, Honyabakei Town Office, Nishi-Awakura Village Office in Okayama Prefecture, Himeshima Village Office in Oita Prefecture, and so on. [Main Clients / Business History (overseas)] We are negotiating with a large plantation enterprise in Sri Lanka.
