Daiwa Excel Co., Ltd.

We are a surface treatment manufacturer that excels at plating irregularly shaped items.

We are a surface treatment manufacturer that provides zinc and zinc alloy plating as a rust-proof coating for iron parts. Our company particularly excels at electro-galvanizing for irregularly shaped products, such as the inner surface of automobile fuel pipes. We have established methods for applying suitable jigs and tools as well as uniform electroplating technologies along with supplementary techniques. These include auxiliary anodes for difficult surfaces where ordinary electro-galvanizing cannot achieve a uniform film thickness, such as bag-shaped parts over inner diameter 4, and inner surfaces of pipe-shaped items. We set up a new zinc-nickel alloy plating (high nickel) mass-production line in 2012 to prepare for more advanced rust-proof plating needs.

[Company strength]
Our company possesses unique plating technology that achieves a uniform film thickness on irregular shapes, which is impossible for other companies. This includes the inner surface of pipes (inner diameter 4 or more, within a length of 1,300 mm). Our strong points include process control for maintaining plating quality, production control for honoring the delivery date, and quality control for containing defects. We also have an organizational framework for maintaining and enhancing these controls.

[Business description]
We are a surface treatment manufacturer that provides zinc and zinc alloy plating as a rust-proof coating for iron parts with a focus on auto parts. Our company excels at plating irregularly shaped items that other companies find difficult to handle, such as the inner surface of cylindrical objects.

[Industry]
Metal surface treatment manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our company offers original plating technologies with supplementary techniques such as auxiliary anodes for irregular shapes where conventional electro-galvanizing could not achieve uniform film thickness. This includes bag-shaped parts over inner diameter 4 and the inner surface of pipe-shaped items. Our plating extends the service life of iron parts by preventing rust from occurring. These original technologies are incorporated into our zinc-nickel alloy (high nickel) plating line. We can apply highly effective zinc-nickel alloy plating to irregularly shaped parts, adding three to five times greater rust preventive effects.

[Representative's message]
Electro-galvanizing of irregularly shaped products like the inner surface of an automobile fuel pipe has been our main business since our establishment in 1962. Our extensive plating technology was incorporated in the new mass production line we established in 2012 to satisfy more advanced customer needs. Our share of the market for automobile fuel systems, exhaust gas systems, and safety part systems exceeds 90%. The technologies we have acquired from these operations will surely be useful for other auto parts and in other industries.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
The operations department of our office administration division functions as a point of contact for new customers with support from the general affairs department. The technology management department is also involved in technical inquiries, and provides assistance including visiting the customer’s site if necessary. The quality control department responds to quality issues. Our goal is to be an organization that inspires peace of mind. We achieve this by considering how we can all work together from start to finish to satisfy the customer’s requirements.

[Market share/Ranking]
We have the largest share of the domestic Japanese market for automobile fuel pipe plating.
