Patent applications for technologies to add functions to material surfaces

Our company develops technologies to add functions to material surfaces. We have filed several patent applications. These include new technologies for film deposition from cyclic olefin resin titanium oxide, from glass titanium oxide, and from environmental olefin resin titanium oxide (in the US). Our company is also active in industry-university collaboration. We made a joint patent application with Hokkaido University for a method of covering a compact surface with a monomolecular film using the direct contact method and film deposition kit. We have already commercialized the kit and are now working to expand sales. We also develop, manufacture, and sell built-in films for mobile phones and smartphones.

[Product and Technical Strengths]
Our CS1 is a world-first film deposition technology. This technology enables anyone to easily and quickly deposit a fluorine compound or titanium oxide film using a self-assembled film deposition method. We developed the technology jointly with Hokkaido University and have already filed a joint patent application. Films deposited on smartphone and tablet touch panels prevent stains or scratches, enable stains to be removed easily, and keep the screens clean. The films are only 1.2 nm thick, so they do not affect operability at all and ensure quick responses. They have solved issues about protective films and are applicable to new fields. The ultimate in technology for adding new functions to materials is unique to our company.

[Representative's Message]
We had our first success by commercializing CS1 as both a method and product. We are now considering business expansion in Japan and abroad. We will make proposals to manufacturing industries of glass products (such as automobile glass, camera lenses, and eyeglass lenses), ceramic products, and touch panels. These technologies are new, so we are considering proposals to new fields and industries. Our current project is to add hardness to CS1 and develop environmental purification technology using nanoparticle three-way catalysts. This technology will soon be successfully commercialized, so we are considering second and third projects to cultivate markets and expand business.

We are promoting technical development jointly with Hokkaido University under the leadership of the president. We have dedicated staff for sales. A US state university graduate with experience as an overseas sales rep can support overseas companies in English.
