Nanotec Co., Ltd.

We are a specialist who adds value to metal and ceramic surfaces.

Our basic service is surface modification by DLC coating, which provides materials with advanced functions or properties such as wear resistance, lubrication, insulation, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance. We manufacture and sell equipment that modifies metal and ceramic surfaces with added value by forming thin films and modified layers on various materials using vacuum and plasma. We have Japan’s largest market share in DLC film equipment for lens molds. As a member of the DLC standardization committee of Japan New Diamond Forum, we are engaged in international standardization of DLC.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We manufacture equipment that forms thin films and modified layers on various materials using vacuum and plasma, thereby increasing their value. We manufacture a wide variety of custom-made vacuum equipment to match users’ needs. We provide a whole range of surface treatment operations, from production of a small number of samples to mass-production, providing DLC and ICF coatings that ensure cost reduction, energy saving, high durability, and long service life under contract with customers.

[Representative's message]
We established Nanotec in 1989 in order to realize our goals for plasma and vacuum technology. Currently we use this plasma and vacuum technology to develop advanced coatings. Many elements of this technology are applied to drills, molds and machine parts and may be described as the “unsung hero” of industry. In order for us to satisfy customers’ needs, it is essential to establish an excellent in-house system. The ideas and actions of our employees are the driving force that creates an energetic corporate culture and leads to winning customers’ trust. We are fully committed to creating such an enabling environment.

[Market share/Ranking]
