Kawasaki Kakou

Pioneer of wet-tissue resin containers

We started as a plastic molding company in 1967, and produce sanitary containers, industrial parts, parts of electric products, health/beauty products, nursing care items, etc. We can perform both injection molding and blow molding in the same factory, and therefore can flexibly deal with fitting products, etc. such as caps and bottles, etc. We developed wet-tissue containers when wet-tissues were first introduced to Japan, and have been constantly improving them. Our company name “Kawasaki Kako” is synonymous with wet-tissue containers.

[Industry]
Manufacture of plastic products

[Strength of products/technologies]
We have a system for managing all processes from design to completion using our 48 years of experience with dies of molding machines. Very few companies can deal with molded articles by both injection molding and blow molding in-house in an integrated manner. Many companies seek our advice on these types of plastic molding processing, and we solve problems ranging from development to mass production. This is our strength.

[Representative's message]
The plastic molding industry is hollowing out due to rises in the price of raw materials, keen price competition, the problem of lack of successors, etc. We have overcome the severe environment as a specialist in plastic processing. Customers often say that there are few companies they can ask for development/research of plastic products, and many consult us having been introduced by the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation. We grasp such chances, and will continue to actively develop products together with customers from their viewpoint so that they will be pleased they came to us for advice.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our representative director handles most technical consultations, carries out research and development, and conducts for major companies. Our senior managing director and two staff serve as a sales desk for both telephone and direct sales.
We do not have a sales system for overseas, but if asked, we will negotiate. We are considering expanding into Vietnam as we have several Vietnamese people who have finished studying and training with us. We hope to expand overseas through them.

[Market share/Ranking]
We started producing containers for wet-tissues 30 years ago. We do not know our market share, but our name is so widely known that it is synonymous with wet-tissue containers. We supply products to both major companies and small and medium size traders.
