[Company strength]
The company was founded by the president’s grandfather at the end of the Meiji Era, so we have a century-old history. The company was legally founded in 1948, and we have accumulated technical know-how since 1960 when we specialized in optical components. The policy of the current president is long-time stable management, with the goal of lasting for over 300 years. We have received awards from the Osaka Prefectural Tax Office as an excellent corporation continuously for 23 years.

[Business description]
We design and manufacture optical components and modules in an integrated manner and work with customers to provide high value-added products. With our core technical advantages including optical design, ultra-precise processing, precision molding, and assembling, we provide optical components and modules featuring nano-level microstructure and adjustable surfaces. We mold products mainly by plastic injection forming and glass imprinting, and supply them to customers after 3D measurement and optical function evaluation.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Optical design involves controlling light intensity distribution in microstructures for LED lighting and laser light sources. We mold optical components by press working and precision molding of diffraction gratings and micro lens arrays (MLA) to deliver the optical characteristics required by customers. We successfully mass-produced thick molding technology using compression molding developed by our handling of lenses for magnifying glasses in the 1960s ahead of competitors. We then applied the technology to mass-production of fθF lenses and projector lenses. We plan to apply this technology to the production of lenses for car lights.

We conduct sales to expand our business to meet the social needs for safety, including medical equipment and social infrastructure, as the future mainstay of our business in addition to our existing businesses of automobile and industrial equipment. We are currently working on expanding in the US as one of our top priorities. We are conducting joint technical development with a US university and intend to commercialize products as a result.
