Sric Co., Ltd.
Our novel G-shock recorders are in wide use in the distribution and other industries
Since our establishment in 1992, we have been developing novel products. One of these is G-MEN, a G-shock recorder that can record 40 days of vibration and impact data in three directions, along with temperature and humidity data, using just two AA batteries. G-MEN is packaged inside shipped goods or attached to palettes or large equipment to monitor the transport conditions when products are shipped. G-MEN has even been embedded and used in semiconductor experiment equipment on the International Space Station with the approval of NASA, JAXA, and the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities. We are currently studying ways to handle the increasing number of requests from abroad to purchase or sell G-MEN internationally. We also handle many OEM products.
[Company strength] Our company has continued to create novel products in the field of information and measurement devices since our establishment in 1992. Our business extends from our own branded products to OEM products, and from planning to development, design, production, and sales. [Business description] Planning, development, design, production, and sales of computer peripheral devices and sales of information devices [Industry] Electronic device manufacturing and sales [Strength of products/technologies] Our G-MEN G-shock recorder records around 40 days of vibration and impact data in three directions, along with temperature and humidity data, over time with just two AA alkaline batteries. Our G-Trace.net software that comes standard with G-MEN makes it easy to read the recorded data via a USB port and create graphs. G-MEN, with the concept of “one for each item shipped,” is helping improve the quality of shipping and distribution. [Representative's message] The G-MEN G-shock recorder was initially sold for domestic use only. However, its increasing use with imports and exports and the acquisition of recorded data overseas generated high demand for an English version of the software. We responded by developing English versions of the software and operating manual. We are currently studying ways to handle the increasing number of requests from abroad to purchase G-MEN and from trading companies to market G-MEN internationally. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Our overseas expansion is limited to the overseas bases of Japanese trading firms that deal in measurement equipment.
