We manufacture lead-free bronze castings used as water service tools
We manufacture bronze castings for use in the water service tool, industrial machinery, and shipbuilding industries. We have an integrated production system including casting, machining, and assembly to satisfy customer needs for short lead time, cost reduction, and high quality. Our recent focus is on improving the productivity and quality of lead-free bronze castings in response to the growing trend of lead-free bronze casting. We built a decompressing and refrigerating casting system to improve the quality of casting and make the plant pollution-free. We aim to create a new kind of foundry plant for the twenty-first century through a foundry system that excels in cost reduction and environmental performance.
Sales Pitch
- We specialize in bronze alloy castings in various lot sizes, including large castings
-
Large lot orders are handled overseas (Dalian City, China), and large castings ordered in small lots are manufactured in Japan using the decompressing and refrigerating casting system.
Our decompressing and refrigerating casting system makes the structure finer, and strengthens the casting itself. The wall can be thinner as it has excellent fluidity.
A plant is under construction in Hai Phong City, Vietnam

[Company Strengths] We built a plant in the Economic and Technological Development Zone in Dalian City, China in '91 and started to mass-produce small bronze castings. The plant was JIS-certified in '95, and has supplied high-quality products to users at low cost. Our company and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) jointly researched the practical application of a world-first decompressing and refrigerating casting system for lead-free bronze casting. This concluded successfully, and we now supply large bronze castings of over 20kg in small lots, which was impossible to produce in China. [Business Description] We manufacture bronze castings for use in the water service tool, industrial machinery, and shipbuilding industries. Our company satisfies customer needs for short lead time, cost reduction, and high quality through an integrated production system including casting, machining, and assembly. Our recent focus is on improving the productivity and quality of lead-free bronze castings, which is in response to the growing trend for lead-free bronze casting. [Industry] Non-ferrous metal manufacturing (manufacturing of bronze alloy castings such as joints for waterworks and valves) [Product and Technology Strengths] Casting molds made of sand and water (5%) are frozen with cold air at -40℃ in the decompressing and refrigerating casting system. This reduces mold wall thickness and weight, while completely eliminating the generation of waste sand by not using organic binder on the mold. The frozen casting molds spontaneously disintegrate due to the heat of poured molten metal, so the conventional breakdown process for the mold becomes unnecessary. This significantly reduces foundry pollution such as vibration, noise, and dust. This foundry system excels in environmental performance, such as material conservation, elimination of waste sand, and pollution reduction. We aim to operate a foundry plant for the twenty-first century with this system. [Representative's Message] Our joint venture in Vietnam was set up by our company, a customer, and a local Japanese company with an investment ratio of 50%, 25%, and 25%, respectively. It was planned to begin operation in 2016. Our China plant has been in operation for 25 years, but local product sales were not possible at all. However, many major Japanese companies have opened bases throughout ASEAN countries. We want to tap into local demand for bronze castings, and expand it as a plant having both overseas production and sales operations. [Company Structure for Market Cultivation and Overseas Expansion] Growth can no longer be expected from production in China due to the soaring labor cost and difficulty in recruiting. Our company set up a joint venture in Hai Phong City, Vietnam to shift our overseas production, and we are currently constructing a Vietnam plant. We plan to cultivate markets with many Japanese companies in ASEAN countries for the products manufactured in the Vietnam plant. We aim to increase the local sales ratio to 50% so we can expand the Vietnam plant as an overseas production site in a different way from the China plant. [Market Share and Rank] The total annual production of bronze casting is about 45,000 tons, and our company produces about 1,600 tons per year. Our market share is approximately 3.5%.
