Our company manufactures and sells a protective coating for wooden buildings. We developed the Town Guard protective agent through industry-university collaboration with Kyoto University. It adds functions such as water repellency, oil repellency, antifouling, antistatic, UV control, antifungal, anti-putrefaction-bacteria, and anti-algae effects. We have actively participated in exhibitions and events and found possible sales agencies with the aim of increasing sales through a broad sales network. Our customers include Gen Gen, Obayashi, Takenaka, and Takashimaya Space Create.

[Company Strengths]
We apply our many years of experience in handling wooden materials to conduct R&D with Kyoto University’s Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere. This involves a protective agent that retains the appearance of mostly wooden buildings with anti-decay, antifungal, anti-algae, and antifouling effects. Research on Town Guard requires interdisciplinary insights across agriculture, engineering, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and other fields. We sought cooperation from these faculties, and the insights gained in this process have formed part of our fundamental technologies. We can conduct R&D and verification with experts in various fields. This collaboration allows us to efficiently establish basic studies, and also to improve and develop new products. These points have become our strengths.

We conduct R&D and sales of Town Guard protective coating for mainly wooden buildings. It protects the surface with water repellency, oil repellency, antifouling, antistatic, UV control, antifungal, anti-putrefaction-bacteria, and anti-algae effects.

[Product and Technology Strengths]
(1) Our coating has extremely high water repellency and oil repellency, which prevents wooden material from degradation caused by rainwater, snow, sea breezes, dust, air pollutants, and so on. 

(2) It realizes optimal UV light control for wooden and bamboo materials to protect the material from a certain range of UV light. Among forms of weather degradation it protects the material against ultraviolet degradation using titanium dioxide and zinc dioxide.

(3) Antifungal effects and effects against putrefaction bacteria are exerted by zinc dioxide. It shows high resistance to relevant fungal molds (wood and bamboo surface contamination) and decay fungal molds (causing wooden materials to rot, destroying its cells, and lowering its strength). It is even effective against algae.

We hope to find potential customers through our sales representatives for our water-repelling, oil-repelling protective coating at exhibitions and matchings. We want to expand our sales network aiming to increase our sales volume.
