Taguchi Pattern Works Co., Ltd.
A professional manufacturer of molds from wooden molds for trial manufacturing through to metal molds for mass production
A mold manufacturer that sticks to casting molds. We handle production of wooden molds and resin molds for trial manufacturing to (cast iron-based) metal molds for mass production as well as responding to processing through completion of prototypes (casted products). Furthermore, we can take 2-D drawings through processing and completion of prototypes (casted products), and respond to prototypes in a short delivery time by making full use of CAE for casting. We are fully equipped with a measuring system using contact and non-contact 3-D measurement instruments to create high precision products. We also respond to trial manufacturing and low-volume mass production of rotating bodies such as impellers, using a 5-axis simultaneous processing machine.
[Company strength] We were established in 1947 and combine skills cultivated over 60 to produce wooden molds and other molds for casting. We use the latest technology including CAD/CAM and CNC machine tools to support the start point of manufacturing. We have two bases for responding to customers’ requests, which are the Kawaguchi Head Office Factory, used mainly for processing wings, and the Nihonmatsu Factory in Fukushima Prefecture, which handles mid to large size wooden and metal molds. In 2007, We received a letter of thanks from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as one of “300 of Japan's Vibrant Monozukuri (Manufacturing) SMEs” for our many years of experience. In addition, trainees in Japan and from overseas (Thailand, Malaysia) visit our company for factory inspection. [Business description] We are a mold manufacturer that has kept to casting molds since our company began. We handle production of wooden molds and resin molds for trial manufacturing, to (cast iron-based) metal molds for mass production. In addition, we can respond to processing through completion of prototypes (casted products). We also separately respond to trial manufacturing and low-volume production of rotating bodies such as impellers, using a 5-axis simultaneous processing machine. [Industry] Manufacturing of casting molds, wooden molds and metal molds [Strength of products/technologies] We can handle 2-D drawings through processing and completion of prototypes (casted products) and respond to prototypes in a short delivery time by making full use of CAE for casting. We are fully equipped with a measuring system using contact and non-contact 3-D measurement instruments to create high precision products. We can shave wax for lost wax casting in 5-axis processing, and respond to low-volume production of compressor turbines and the like. Casted products made from wooden molds and metal molds that we manufactured are currently used in vehicle, industrial machine and aircraft industries, as well as in aerospace-related fields. [Representative's message] Our company which “fully utilizes state-of-the-art technology and is a starting point of manufacturing” can respond 100% to customers’ requests while balancing technology and skill which have been cultivated over 60 years of casting experience. Especially, wooden molds for trial manufacturing is a world first, making us the starting point of manufacturing. Our company will make full use of Kawaguchi Head Office Factory which excels in wooden molds and metal molds for small and middle size products, completion of prototype development, and wing processing utilizing 5-axis simultaneous CNC processing, the Nihonmatsu Factory in Fukushima Prefecture which excels at mid and large wooden molds and metal molds as well as our network of companies with their own skills, to continue future growth. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We have assigned a factory director to take on sales, and have another department in charge for correspondence.
