Todaka Corporation
We offer ultra-high-precision parts machining, development, and manufacturing of automated labor saving equipment and marine devices.
Our company has a track record of over 40 years in the field of ultra-precision small parts machining. We particularly excel at parts machining in prototype, quick-delivery, high-mix low-volume, and high-quality projects. We conduct all processes in-house, from software and hardware design to parts and unit manufacturing as well as die assembly and maintenance. We develop new systems in the marine device field, both software and hardware, in addition to those using our core technology (electronic maps, GPS, onboard LAN). We can recommend appropriate inland remote sensing and information devices by using the display and communications technologies we have accumulated in the marine field.
Other presentation
[Company strength] Our company performs all processes from software and hardware design to parts, units, die assembly, local setup, and maintenance in-house. The strength of our company lies in our system development capability, which allows us to meet various needs. This was only made possible due to the core technology that we have obtained in our wealth of manufacturing experience in various fields of business (e.g., semiconductors, automobiles, medicine, ships). [Business description] Our company has been nurturing technologies and creating new value since our establishment in 1970. We currently have three business areas. First, we design and manufacture ultra-high precision machining for various metal, non-metal, carbide, and ceramic parts. Second, we develop, design, and manufacture automated labor saving equipment as well as jigs and tools. Third, we use our core technologies to develop and manufacture marine devices, such as electronic navigation charts, electronic maps, GPS, ship-land intercommunication, and other marine devices. [Industry] Production machinery manufacturing [Strength of products/technologies] Our company has a track record of over 40 years in the fields of ultra-precision small parts machining and 3D machining. We particularly excel at parts machining in prototype, quick-delivery, high-mix low-volume, and high-quality projects. We have designed and manufactured labor-saving equipment, jigs, and tools for various industries in the mechatronics field. We have also provided production technology solutions, such as machining and assembly OEM services, and IC lead adjustment services. We develop new systems in the marine device field, both software and hardware, in addition to those of our core technology products (electronic maps, GPS, onboard LAN). [Representative's message] Our company has been engaged in parts machining for precision devices since our establishment in 1970. We later started consignment manufacturing for Toshiba, and accumulated know-how regarding IC assembly (since 1976), IC lead frame production (since 1980), and precision machines and dies. We became specialized in precision parts machining, and labor-saving machine design and production starting from 1986. In 2001 we developed marine devices by making use of our hardware and software development capability. This shows how we are constantly evolving. We have entered new fields in recent years, such as automobiles, medicine, food, and power generation. Our goal is to become an all-round manufacturer that can meet various customer needs. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We established an organization that responds to customer inquiries in a speedy manner. This was done by encouraging individual engineers to become sales-minded, and to conduct sales activities in addition to technical work. [Market share/Ranking] Our electronic chart display device for Japanese ships has acquired a large share of its market. Our navigation monitoring equipment for passenger ships has acquired the largest share of its market. [Awards and media coverage] [Media] Nikkei; Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. [Joint research and development] Tokyo Mercantile Marine University (currently Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology): Joint research on automatic navigation support system through GPS single control method. Oita Industrial Research Institute: Research on small-diameter end milling of high-hardness materials. [Main Clients / Business History (domestic)] Our inspection equipment, test handlers, laser marking handlers, and other devices have been delivered to Toshiba Semiconductor & Storage’s factories. We have also delivered electronic chart display devices, passenger compartment navigation monitors, and other devices to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. [Main Clients / Business History (overseas)] Our machinery is shipped to overseas plants run by Japanese semiconductor manufacturers. We sell products to other overseas manufacturers through trading companies. [Exhibition History/Information] Exhibitions in Japan: SEA JAPAN (joint participation); Bari-Ship (joint participation).
