Hanaichi Ultra Structure Research Institute

We analyze a variety of samples from high polymer materials to hydrated compounds.

We are a provider of entrusted structural analysis and morphological observation services that uses electron microscopes. Our company supports R&D and quality management in the biotechnology and nanotechnology fields. We can handle either hydrated compounds (such as cells) or materials (such as metals and ceramics) as sample types. We also offer GLP/GMP-compliant virus safety testing services in the biotechnology field. Our technological advantage is the analysis of composited samples such as artificial bones and bio sensors. The results of our work (images taken using electron microscopes) are often used in basic research. This includes studies conducted by the University of Tokyo, Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology. Our company was selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as one of Japan’s top 1400 job-creating companies.

Other presentation

[Company strength]
Electron microscopy analysis depends on the skills and experience of the engineers who conduct pre-treatment, rather than mechanical tools. We have expertise as a nanotechnology specialist, and we have extensive experience from 16 years of operation. This enables us to provide analysis of a wide range of materials, including hydrated compounds (such as cells), metals, and ceramics. We sometimes provide pre-treatment for major analysis providers and universities on a consignment basis.

[Business description]
Our company offers consignment structural analysis and morphological observation services using electron microscopes. We support R&D and quality management through these services from a nano perspective in a wide range of industries. These extend from biotechnology (such as cells, viruses, and foods) to nanotechnologies such as carbon and ceramics. We can conduct high-speed, high-quality, low-cost integrated analysis from pretreatment to observation and imaging by making use of our electron microscopes and peripheral equipment for making samples.

[Industry]
Technical service provision

[Strength of products/technologies]
We can offer GLP/GMP-compliant virus safety testing in biotechnology-related fields, as well as pathological examinations as a registered hygiene inspection laboratory. These services are provided with high reliability under audits by external organizations. Our technologies to handle both organisms and materials uniquely qualify us to analyze composited samples such as artificial bones and bio sensors.

[Representative's message]
We have reinforced our sales activities in the Kanto region ever since I became the president last August. We are also trying to increase sales in the medical field by making use of a Monozukuri Subsidy we received to make capital investments. We recently received an order from a Korean company through a connection with an existing customer, despite our assumption that it would be impossible to acquire overseas customers. We now hope to consider the possibility of overseas markets such as Korea, Taiwan, and China.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our sales representatives are given assistants so that they can devote their time to meetings with customers. They are also encouraged to obtain technical certifications from the Japanese Society of Microscopy to satisfy needs for technical consulting.
