Research, development and production of polymers and organic compounds

We are mainly engaged in research and development of polymers and organic compounds, particularly acrylic emulsions, hollow-pigment emulsions, and nanocapsules of various polymers in accordance with the customer’s order. Research and development for the customer is carried out without remuneration; when the results are successful, we provide the customer with the product as a raw material or unprocessed material for a charge including compensation for the development. We can also undertake, even for a small-scale lot, research and development for providing a purchased product in an amount of approximately 600 kg a month.

Nano hollow polymer particles
[Features and points]
We developed a technology for producing nano hollow polymer particles that are designed and controlled so that the diameter of the particles becomes about 50 nm to 10 μm, and the hollow ratio becomes about 1% to 85%. Hollow polymer particles whose hollow ratio is 70% to 85%, which is extremely high, have a large hollow inside. After being dried, the hollow is filled with a gas such as air, resulting in a large hollow structure. Therefore, we can significantly improve thermal insulation, concealment, whiteness, weight reduction, dispersion stability, and other functions. We can also produce nano hollow polymer particles whose diameter is 100 nm or less. 

[Benefits to customers]
By mixing our nano hollow polymer particles with components or materials of a customer, we can significantly improve their functions and add value to them as shown in the following examples: 
• Improving thermal insulation by the large hollow structure being filled with a gas such as air
• Improving concealment (a function to conceal a base) and whiteness in cases where the product is used for coating of base materials
• Reducing weight by the large hollow structure in the particles
• Improving the dispersion stability in water by the large hollow structure
• Reducing the relative permittivity and refractive index by the large hollow structure filled with air

[Expected applications]
We believe that our nano hollow polymer particles can be used for various insulating materials, photoconductive resins, electronic materials, paints, inks, information recording paper, and other applications, although we do not limit the applications to these.
Nano-capsules
[Features and points]
We developed a technology for producing nano-capsules that have optimum specifications, using a compound provided by a customer, to the extent that the diameter of the particles is 50 nm to 10 μm and the coating thickness is 1 nm to several tens of nm. We have also established a process for mass production, so we can produce a large number of nano-capsules at low cost.

By nanoencapsulating your compound, we can add value to it as shown in the following examples: 
• Controlling elution of a compound in a capsule to the outside of the capsule (sustained releasability)
• Improving the dispersion stability in water
• Protecting a compound in a capsule and preventing it from decomposing by using a capsule film
• Direct action of nano-capsules on cells of organisms in a capsule

[Expected applications]
We believe that our nanoencapsulation technology is of benefit to manufacturers who manufacture useful compounds such as paints, inks, information recording paper, cosmetics, various medicines, and the like, although we do not limit the applications to these.

[Strength of products/technologies]
The hollow-pigment emulsions (aqueous emulsions containing hollow spherical particles with a diameter of approximately 1 µm) on the market generally have a void ratio of 50%. However, we have developed a hollow emulsion with a void ratio of 70%, that is, 1.4 times larger than the conventional hollow emulsions. We also have encapsulation technology using the shells of various acrylic polymers to produce nanocapsules with a diameter ranging from several hundred nanometers to 1 µm.

Our goal is to be a global niche company that develops high-value-added raw materials or unprocessed materials for our customers through the application of the latest technologies to the acrylic emulsions, hollow-pigment emulsions, and nanocapsules of various polymers that we have cultivated.

Our sales representative is in charge of new customer development and directly responds to customer inquiries. In 2012, we started posting our product information in English on the Alibaba website, and our sales representative handles all inquiries from abroad. We have established a system for communicating with companies in the local language through our agents in Brazil, Germany and Turkey, from where we have received a number of valid inquiries, and we will add other countries in the future.
