MITLA Co., Ltd.
We create perinatal electronic medical records that link central hospitals and clinics.
We develop and sell specialized software for medical institutions, and our expertise lies in care and treatment for expectant and nursing mothers. Our Hello Baby Program of specialized perinatal electronic medical records has been adopted by more than 100 institutions throughout Japan. These institutions range in size from advanced medical care facilities to general clinics. This program involves the use of the Mobile CTG, which is the world’s only medical measurement device that measures obstetric diagnostic information and transmits the measurement data over the Internet. Our program’s structure makes it simple to construct remote perinatal care systems. These systems can share diagnostic data on expectant and nursing mothers between central hospitals and clinics and maternity hospitals that lack medical specialists.
Sales Pitch
- HELLO BABY PROGRAM: First electric health record system for perinatal periods in Japan, which is dedicated to obstetrics and gynecology
-
We developed HELLO BABY PROGRAM, which is the first electric health record system for perinatal periods in Japan, in-house. This system has been used by core hospitals and university hospitals as well as local clinics in the Tokyo metropolitan area and has one of the highest market shares in the industry. We propose, develop, install, maintain, and provide support for systems in-house in an integrated manner, depending on the medical institution, in order to achieve usability by responding to requests from obstetricians and gynecologists as well as birthing assistants and other staff.
HELLO BABY PROGRAM offers a solution for managing management and operations of health records specific to obstetrics in an integrated manner, which is difficult to achieve by conventional electric health record systems. In addition to contributing to improvement of reliability of medical examinations and diagnosis by providing support for analysis of recorded data, this system reduces the burden on operations by automating troublesome operations for registration. We provide maintenance services for the custom systems we have developed responding to requirements of individual medical institutions by using our dedicated line, enabling seamless medical care to be coordinated between various hospital systems.
In order to provide advanced perinatal care anytime in a universal way, there is an urgent need for establishment of a system in which local medical institutions cooperate with each other to provide medical services. We propose our products from a broad perspective based on extensive achievements and knowhow, responding to needs regarding the size and system of a regional partnership, issues concerning geography and population, and so on, which vary depending on the municipality. In addition to systems for hospitals and clinics, we provide various products such as closed, semi-open, on-premise, ASP, and other systems. We provide solutions for seamless cooperation between a municipality or core hospital in a certain area and individual clinics in Japan and overseas, and respond to issues and needs that vary depending on the area, by using the knowhow we have acquired, in order to create a society in which we can feel at ease going out.
Other presentation
[Company Strength] We are a medical IT company with expertise in care and treatment for expectant and nursing mothers. Our Hello Baby Program of specialized perinatal electronic medical records continues to expand throughout Japan. Its installation base ranges from advanced medical care facilities to general clinics and other primary care facilities. This program involves the use of the Mobile CTG, which is the world’s only medical measurement device that measures obstetric diagnostic information and transmits the measurement data over the Internet. The structure of our program makes it simple to construct remote perinatal care systems. These systems can share diagnostic data on expectant and nursing mothers between central hospitals and clinics and maternity hospitals that lack medical specialists. [Message from President] Our company began to expand into Southeast Asia last year. We have installed Mobile CTG devices at seven institutions in Thailand and three in Laos. We have completed networks linking mountainous regions where doctors are in short supply with urban areas that have more developed medical care and communications infrastructure. We have also received inquiries about our systems from South Africa and Indonesia. The areas that can fully benefit from our IT systems remain limited. However, we would be delighted to see a world with more compassionate childbirth and child-raising environments in which our systems prove useful to people worldwide. [Market share] We believe we have the top share in the domestic Japanese market for perinatal electronic medical records. This is because our Hello Baby Program is installed and operating in more than 100 hospitals and clinics nationwide. [Awards and Media] [Awards] Our Tono Safety Network health and welfare information system for Tono won the Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Award in 2008. Our Ihatov perinatal care information network system for Iwate Prefecture won the u-Japan Best Practices award in 2009. [Media] Japan Venture Awards, Small and Medium Enterprise Agency Director General’s Award, Entrepreneur Sector (2009).
