Ninomiya Co., Ltd.

We possess the casting technology to design and manufacture small, complicated automotive parts.

We manufacture cast parts for automotive turbochargers and transmissions (AT and CVT). Our products have mainly been adopted for downsized turbochargers and multistage automatic transmissions to contribute to reducing automobile fuel consumption (weight). We have an automated casting process system that is state-of-the-art in Japan. We have also established a secure quality assurance system based on centralized management of quality management data from mass production of parts with complicated shapes to other manufacturing processes. We take pride in our top-ranking technical power in the industry for casting small, complicated parts by making use of 3D CAD and CAE.

Sales Pitch

Our main products are downsized turbos for contributing to improvement of fuel efficiency as well as multistage AT.
We specialize in small parts with complicated shapes, of which only several companies have succeeded in mass production in Japan. Products for overseas automobile manufacturers (in Europe and the United States) account for more than 50% of our production.
We have casting technology (design of dies and molds, CAE analysis, and so on) for products having complicated internal structures. Additionally, we design and establish unique inspection processes for inspecting the soundness of internal structures.
We have a quality management system that meets the quality requirements of overseas automobile manufacturers.
We plan to acquire an international quality management standard (TS16949) for the automobile industry in March 2017.

Other presentation

[Company strength]
Our parts have been adopted for many downsized turbochargers and multistage automatic transmissions to contribute to reducing automobile energy consumption. We have an automated casting process system that is state-of-the-art in Japan. We have also established a secure quality assurance system based on centralized management of quality management data from mass production of parts with complicated shapes to other manufacturing processes.

[Business description]
(1) We manufacture and sell cast parts for automotive turbochargers, transmissions (AT and CVT), and industrial machines (compressors, air conditioners, speed reducers, and Roots blowers), and so on.
(2) We provide consignment manufacturing of trial automotive parts using YAG laser and electron beam welding.

[Industry]
Pig iron casting part manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
We possess top-ranking technical power in the industry for casting small, complicated parts by making use of 3D CAD and CAE. Even in the iron casting industry only a few companies have succeeded in mass-producing products having extremely difficult shapes. Our company has successfully put such products into mass production, and we have also manufactured devices for inspecting their complicated internal structures. This is how we have established a quality assurance system for automobile manufacturers in Japan and abroad.

[Representative's message]
About 70% of our parts manufactured for automobiles and industrial machines are exported. We will promote sales activities by also considering direct transactions with overseas manufacturers. We have started activities to acquire ISO/TS 16949 within FY2016 so we can join the global supply chain. ISO/TS 16949 is the standard quality management system for the automobile industry.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our company has two sales staff members for sales channel development. One of them can handle English inquiries from overseas companies. Six staff members in the production technology and manufacturing departments are in charge of technical consulting.

[Market share/Ranking]
We have a 30% share of the Japanese market for bearing housings for downsized turbochargers.
