[Company strength]
Multiple factories with different characteristics: We have now four factories. Each factory has different characteristics in order to support various customer needs, specializing in can manufacturing, handling steel frames, and so on. We form partnerships with skillful subcontractors and complete the products for processes we do not cover. 
Integrated execution: We have a construction department in our company, and deal with on-site installation work. We can provide integrated execution from manufacturing in the factory to on-site installation. Such one-stop ordering will help our customers to save the time necessary for subcontracting management and reduce the cost.


[Business description]
We have been engaged in the contracted welding business since 1961. We have gradually increased the number of products we handle, such as the construction of globular tanks, chimneys, and blast furnaces. In recent years we have also been manufacturing furnace shells and casks for nuclear power plants, LNG tanks, bio-ethanol tanks, wind power generator towers, and so on. We have been keeping up with the changing times. We make use of our experience to manufacture and install many special steel structures. We hope to refine our existing technology in order to flexibly support changes in the world’s energy situation in the future, and to support our customers.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Bending: We possess 1500-ton and 2750-ton hydraulic pressure presses, so we can support all kinds of three-dimensional bending such as globular bending and knuckle bending of ultra-thick materials. We also possess a bending roller with a maximum width of 6 m, so we can bend wide plates.
Welding: We have acquired licenses for various welding methods, and accumulated the experience to be able to support equipment related to the Gas Business Act, High Pressure Gas Safety Law, and Fire Services Act. We also have a track record of handling first-class and second-class pressure containers. Some of our staff members have qualifications including the special-class boiler welder license and first-class JPI-E welder license. This is how we can support cases in which high technology is required.

Our corporate philosophy is to “Express thanks for everything.” We always proceed with sincerity in all of our activities. Of course we target customer satisfaction, and we also ultimately target employee satisfaction. The Monozukuri craftsmanship technology we have been accumulating for over 50 years since our foundation is passed down to on-site installation work as well as manufacturing in the factory. The spirit of this Monozukuri craftsmanship is passed down from experts to young staff in sequence, which I think is connected the high evaluations we receive from our customers. Our products are utilized everywhere. They are found in energy resource fields such as coal, petroleum, gas, and water. They are found in manufacturing plants such as steel manufacturing plants, and also in the public sector such as water treatment facilities. We hope to continue our efforts to refine our capabilities and to provide high-quality products in order to respond to customer needs.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our sales department does business with major companies in Japan as the point of contact. We have assigned manufacturing, construction, and design experts at three bases in order to respond correctly to customer needs with our sales engineering capabilities. These three bases consist of the headquarters sales department, Oita business unit, and Kanto sales office. We have established and operate a quality control system for nuclear power for USA/ASME under the control of IHI in our overseas business. 

[Market share/Ranking]
We have a track record of about 270 deliveries of globular storage tank manufacturing and installation for LPG, town gas, oxygen, nitrogen, and so on. This delivery record is ranked top-class in Japan.

[Joint research and development]
We are developing a business that was approved by the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency as a FY2013 supplementary budget project for innovation in SME Monozukuri craftsmanship, trade, and services. The theme of this project is the establishment of bending technology that achieves high roundness in the manufacturing of welding-type cylindrical pipes.

Most of our main customers are major companies. We deliver various products such as tanks, industrial furnaces, and steel structures. Please refer to our corporate brochure for details.

We do not have a history of direct deliveries to overseas companies, but we have a track record of indirect deliveries through the following companies.IHI: Reactor containment and peripherals.Hitachi Zosen: Containers for nuclear power and so on.Tsukishima Kikai: Tank members and so on.
