Nasada Co., Ltd. 

We are expanding globally by manufacturing aircraft engine parts.

Our company manufactures and sells aircraft engine and fuselage parts, hydraulic equipment parts, and diesel engine parts such as crankshafts, camshafts, and engine housings. We started to build up a production system and develop sales channels for aircraft engine parts about 10 years ago. This business has grown and our products are now delivered to world-class aircraft manufacturers. We will brush up our technical power and further strengthen our in-house system to manufacture parts with complicated shapes, made of difficult-to-grind materials. We will promote cooperation and collaboration with companies in the same line of business and extend our business to receive orders directly from Boeing and Airbus in the future.

[Company strength]
Our company manufactures critical parts such as V2500 engines for the Airbus 320, and Trent 1000 and GEnx engine turbine casings, as well as combustor casings for the Boeing 787. We make use of a five-axis composite processing machine to manufacture these complicated-shaped parts made from highly heat-resistant, difficult-to-process steel. We possess high technical power, as well as JIS Q 9100 (Aerospace Quality Management System) and National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) quality management certification. We are also making proactive efforts in R&D for new processing technologies and manufacturing critical parts from single parts to mass production.

We manufacture and sell aircraft engine and fuselage parts, hydraulic equipment parts, and diesel engine parts such as crankshafts, camshafts, and engine housings. Our jet engine parts are mounted on aircraft made by the world-class aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus. Our gas turbine engine parts are mounted on regular and emergency power generators, and our hydraulic equipment parts are incorporated in construction machines, industrial machines, and marine vessels. Our diesel engines are mounted on agricultural machines, industrial machines, and construction machines. They are core parts used to drive these products.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our company was selected for Strategic Core Technology Advancement Program from FY2009 to FY2011 and FY2010 to 2012, and for the Regional Innovation Assisting Program from FY2013 to FY2014. We are promoting technical R&D for high-precision processing of complicated parts for aircraft engines and gas turbine engines to implement improved high-precision processing of gas turbine engine parts. We are also promoting R&D to greatly improve product performance by making use of these technologies. We are continuing to brush up our technical power in processing parts with complicated shapes made from difficult-to-grind materials so as to extend our business on a global scale.

[Representative's message]
We are working hard to expand our aircraft business by receiving orders for new aircraft-related parts. We are pursuing this by participating in the HYOGO Project for business entry and expansion in the aircraft manufacturing industry. Other project participants include companies in the fields of machining, surface treatment, thermal treatment, and nondestructive inspection. These companies are carrying out sales activities in order to receive orders for integrated production by the group. Our company is the project leader. We are jointly improving technical power and cultivating human resources to receive orders from manufacturers of aircraft fuselages, engines, and landing gear in Japan.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We manufacture and supply hydraulic equipment, gas turbines, and diesel engine parts in our regular business. We also started to build up a production system and develop sales channels for aircraft engine parts about 20 years ago, and this business has also matured. Our aircraft engine parts are provided from our customers Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. to General Electric, Rolls Royce, and Pratt & Whitney. Finished goods by these companies that are assembled from our products are delivered to Boeing and Airbus after running tests. We will further strengthen our in-house sales, quality assurance, and production technology (new technical development) system. We will promote cooperation and collaboration with companies in the same line of business and extend our aircraft engine business. Our target is to receive orders directly in the future.

[Market share/Ranking]
We have a top-level share in the domestic Japanese market. This is due to our high machining technologies for difficult-to-process nickel-based alloy materials (Inconel, Waspaloy, etc.) and extensive experience in heat-resistant steel processing for aircraft engines.
