[Product description] Processing with a precision cutting wheel Features: This type of precision cutting involves using a rapidly rotating cutting wheel to cut a workpiece little by little with the very hard particles (abrasive grains) of the cutting wheel. This cutting is similar to grinding, and it works softly on a workpiece without imparting destructive damage. It ensures a smooth finish surface, and enables precision cutting with excellent performance. This kind of cutting has the following features compared with ordinary cutting. (1) Cutting with grains of very hard mineral matter can process ordinary metallic materials and also hard, brittle materials such as hardened steel, carbide alloy, and ceramics. (2) Chips are extremely small, so the product surface can be finished very smooth and the dimensional accuracy is high. (3) The high cutting speed means that chips are small but the general processing efficiency (volume of chips generated per time) is excellent. [Product description] Very fast rotation of an extremely thin (0.3 to 1.2 mm) cutting wheel is used for precision cutting with a cutting wheel. The very hard particles (abrasive grains) of the cutting wheel cut a workpiece little by little. This precision cutting works softly on a workpiece without imparting destructive damage and ensures good surface smoothness. Our cutting wheels boast a high cutting speed realized due to their superb sharpness and excellent cutting performance. This reduces or eliminates precision secondary processing and contributes to cost reduction. Cutting object materials: Various quenched materials, high-speed steel, carbide alloy, ceramics, ferrite, tungsten, molybdenum, stainless steel, titanium, glass, quartz, sapphire glass, aluminum sintered materials, glass epoxy, silicon, hard resin, Bakelite, and carbon fiber. Also aramid fiber, FRP, phosphor bronze, Kovar, cermet, tantalum, cast iron, rock, artificial bone, Co-Ni materials, nonferrous materials, difficult-to-cut composite materials, and so on.
