Kimura Kogyo Co., Ltd.
We manufacture aluminum alloy and composite material products with fewer flaws and higher strength.
We are a plant manufacturer established in 1968. We provide industrial and shipbuilding equipment to companies that manufacture automobiles and electric machines, ships, foods, iron, and precision equipment. We provide environmental plant and equipment to local governments. We handle all processes from design to manufacturing, installation, maintenance, and inspection. We are also engaged in casting and have established the Revolutionary Eco-Casting (REC) aluminum alloy and composite materials casting technology, which suppresses gas generation more than the die casting method. Our company is accumulating results by using a hybrid casting machine combining hydraulic and servo (electric) technologies to provide aluminum alloy and composite materials with fewer flaws and higher strength. We also have experience in trading automatic welding lines and hydraulic presses with overseas customers.

[Company strength] Our new Revolutionary Eco-Casting (REC) aluminum alloy and composite materials casting technology was born from our company’s advantages. These include hydraulic technology and engineering power in our core business, and also our maneuverability capable of immediately satisfying customer needs. We can now provide aluminum alloy and composite materials with fewer flaws and higher strength by making use of a new hybrid casting machine combining hydraulic and servo (electric) technologies. We have been able to achieve great energy conservation as a result of promoting the implementation of IT. We can provide equipment for casting post-processing to satisfy various customer needs (including cutting machines, trimming press machines, dimension measuring machines, and pressure leakage inspection machines). We can also create an integrated in-house manufacturing system to achieve requirements for quality (Q), cost (C), and delivery (D) in part delivery. [Business description] Our company provides industrial and shipbuilding equipment to companies that manufacture automobiles and electric machines, ships, foods, iron, and precision equipment. We also supply environmental plant and equipment to local governments, and we provide integrated services for these products from design, manufacturing, and installation to maintenance and inspection. We have a system for manufacturing in China as well as in Japan, as well as a sales system capable of supporting exports to overseas countries, including the USA. We developed a new aluminum alloy and composite materials casting technology (REC: Revolutionary Eco-Casting) as a new technology for manufacturing composite materials, which are under great market demand. We are now taking on the challenge of selling cast parts as a new business. [Industry] Production machine and tool manufacturing [Strength of products/technologies] Our new REC (Revolutionary Eco-Casting) aluminum alloy and composite materials casting technology has the following advantages. (1) REC reduces the volume of gas more than the die casting method, so cast products that can undergo thermal treatment and welding are available. There are fewer flaws and dimensional accuracy is higher. (2) REC produces products having finer cast surfaces, dense tissues, and higher toughness compared with the gravity casting method. (3) High cycles can be achieved by thorough lapping with servo technology. Thorough lapping involves sliding the upper mold sideways and applying a release agent to the lower mold at the same time. It can also involve applying a release agent to the upper mold and pouring molten metal at the same time. (4) REC produces materials with higher thermal conductivity and electric conductivity compared with other casting methods. (This is because a different metal can be dissolved into aluminum and cast.) [Representative's message] We are now focusing on developing new sales channels and the overseas expansion of sales activities for our new aluminum casting business as well as our core business. Our company is acquiring overseas patents in major countries (Europe, the USA, China, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand) for overseas business expansion from Japan. The casting technology that we developed has many molding features. We are now focusing on market cultivation in Japan, but we think global expansion is unavoidable in the age of globalization and essential for the development of global demand. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Our R&D and mass production system for new business is organized in seven divisions. We have an R&D division (with two staff members), a technical division (one staff member), and a manufacturing division (four staff members). Our inspection, quality assurance, and equipment continuous improvement divisions have one staff member each, and the sales division consists of four staff members headed by the director. We collect information from the IPROS matching site, large trading firms, workshops in the casting industry, and casting manufacturers. We make use of the information we collect for trial manufacturing, mass production, and equipment sales that meet the requirements of each company. Our equipment sales system supports handling mold technologies and equipment as well as casting follow-up services. [Market share/Ranking] We have delivered one unit of equipment in the aluminum casting business and also four kinds of cast parts manufactured by mass production. We manufacture many trial products for new customers.
