[Company strength]
Ours is very much a niche industry, but kitchen wastewater treatment systems are almost essential for buildings that discharge large amounts of water from their kitchens. Most of our customers are major companies. They include Nihonbashi Takashimaya Store, Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, and other large department stores, as well as the Hilton Hotel, Shimbashi Daiichi Hotel, and other large hotels. We have installed about 100 facilities nationwide. We have experienced designers, construction engineers, and administrators and are also educating such staff.

[Business description]
Our company installs and maintains wastewater treatment systems at hotels, department stores, large commercial facilities, hospitals, catering centers, and food factories. Our equipment purifies wastewater from kitchens. We are also expanding our reclaimed wastewater service, which enables the use of kitchen wastewater for flushing toilets without implementation costs.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We have been totally devoted to wastewater treatment technology R&D and attempts to apply soil bacteria to wastewater treatment. Soil bacteria are the earth’s final link in the chain of processing organic matter. In 1996 we were able to successfully culture soil bacteria containing a large amount of lipase, which is essential for oil and fat decomposition. We developed our unique Natural Bio System (NBS) treatment method using bacteria based on this success. NBS solves difficult problems such as environmental deterioration due to odors, unstable quality of treated water, and growing costs for the disposal of large volumes of sludge.

Water is indispensable for our lives. We will contribute to the world with technologies for protecting and controlling this precious water. We will contribute to many customers by improving their businesses and environment. We hope to make use of J-GoodTech to extend sales channels that used to be impossible for us by ourselves. We have received advice about circumstances in three countries (China, Korea, and Taiwan) under the advice system for supporting internationalization. Overseas expansion seems difficult under the current circumstances (infrastructure and water charges), but we will take on the challenge without giving up.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We have no problems with our company structure for business in Japan, but in the future we will extend it as required for overseas expansion. We will continue to install wastewater treatment facilities in cities as one of our future business activities. We also hope to handle wastewater treatment as we did for a food manufacturing factory in Yamanashi Prefecture. We will help factories reduce manufacturing costs by purifying wastewater to the level of recycling for various uses, although this depends on approval by local governments. We are now considering proactive overseas expansion by taking the opportunity of joining J-GoodTech. Appropriate overseas companies will be essential for our actual overseas expansion.

Our achievements: wastewater treatment rate, 10,000 cubic meters per day; reclaimed wastewater supply rate, 3,700 cubic meters per day (about 10% of the market in Tokyo).

[Joint research and development]
We have been conducting joint research and development on trial manufacturing and monitoring experiments for high-speed settling tanks with a building management company since December 2013.
