Taisho Techno Inc.

We provide parts production for automobiles and bicycles through precision cold forging.

We provide prototype manufacturing and development of various parts for automobiles, bicycles, industrial devices, and construction materials through precision cold forging. High-precision cold forging eliminates or reduces post processing (net shape or near net shape), so we can improve the yield rate, and reduce lead time and total cost. We can also recommend an effective and efficient manufacturing process layout for the shape and quantity of the product. This is done by utilizing the characteristics of cold forging such as fiber flow and mold transfer, and enables higher product functionality.

[Company strength]
Our strength lies in the fact that we have many kinds of technology and equipment. These include equipment and technologies for cold forging and sheet metal processing, manufacturing process layout design, and mold design and manufacturing. We also possess the equipment and technologies necessary for related processing (e.g., machining, barrel processing, and grinding). Another of our strengths is that we can combine these processes in a highly accurate manner. We acquired academic knowledge at the Japan Society for Technology of Plasticity and on other occasions, and know-how and ideas from the manufacturing floor through prototype development. The fusion of our original know-how and ideas with academic knowledge has resulted in flexible thinking and efficient prototype development. The manufacturing process layout and molds are designed and developed in-house. This is how we can reduce the development lead time, and lower the cost of molds, which is often a matter of concern.

Precision cold forging

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our company has manufactured mainly small, irregularly shaped articles including near net shapes and net shapes. This is done through effective and efficient process layout design, and high-quality finishing for articles where both cold forging and sheet metal pressing have been applied. Our operations were made possible by the original know-how we gained from our past experience. This includes mold parting lines and material shapes set up from a unique perspective to improve the yield rate. We can work on S10C-S55C, SCM, and high carbon chromium bearing steel (SUJ2) for iron, as well as pure aluminum to duralumin for aluminum. We have also processed copper, stainless steel, brass, and titanium. We support weights anywhere from 0.75 g to 700 g.

[Representative's message]
I believe it is important to constantly improve technologies and generate innovation so that we can enter new fields and acquire new customers. We conduct our day-to-day business with the thought that companies will not survive competition if they cannot enter the global environment in the near future. This is true regardless of the industry, business format, or scale of the company.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We encourage direct dealings with major companies, without using a trading house or other mediator. This is because we hope to capture technological needs and make suggestions directly to representatives from the manufacturer. We will continue to promote this trend of direct dealing with major companies. We do not have plans for overseas expansion, but our products are exported to overseas subsidiaries of Japanese companies by staff who are knowledgeable about overseas business. This is why we are not particularly worried about practical matters.

[Market share/Ranking]
Our company has patented a cold forging process for the driven top sprocket that is attached to the rear wheel of variable-speed bicycles. Our company is the only supplier that uses this method.
