[Business description]
Erix was found in 1985 as Japan’s first manufacturer specialized in developing and manufacturing inorganic electroluminescence (EL) elements. The company name was changed to Hakodate Sekonic after our relocation to Hakodate. Our company merged with other Sekonic Group enterprises in 2013. Since then we have been supplying EL from development and design to EL business commercialization in line with customer needs as the Hakodate Office of Sekonic Electronics.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our products enable space-saving mounting, and emit high-quality light which is easy on the eyes. This is why they are adopted for portable terminals around the world as LCD backlights and as key light sources for portable terminals. We also supply high-mix low-volume items such as commercial signboards, interior illumination, in-vehicle interior illumination, and so on.

[Representative's message]
We have been providing EL for key switch lighting of cellular phones to companies such as NOKIA overseas and Panasonic in Japan. Our products have received high evaluations in terms of production capacity (delivery time) and quality. LEDs are currently gaining prominence as light sources, but we hope to propose new EL light sources as high-class sources of light that are easy on the eyes. Target industries include home electronics, communications, equipment, and automobiles.
