Shinwa Precision Machinery Co., Ltd.
We have supplied our high-quality parts for diesel engines for ships to a number of major manufacturers.
We process and assemble parts for diesel engines for ships, hydraulic motors, and pump parts for construction machines. We manufacture cylinder heads that can be used in a wide range of diesel engines for ships covering from compact, high-speed boats to large, low-speed vessels.
[Company strength] In 2008 we made a major capital investment for a company of our size. First, we built a second factory building on our site. Second, we added horizontal MCs (Makino a-81, three units), an automatic transfer system, and washing equipment, and third, we introduced honing machines (two units). This has further reinforced our processing techniques and quality. We also possess a wide variety of measuring devices to pursue absolute quality. These include 3D measuring devices (two units), a length measuring device (one unit), circularity measuring equipment (one unit), surface roughness measuring devices (two units), and a projector (one unit). [Business description] We provide processing and assembly for precision hydraulic parts and diesel engines for ships. [Industry] Manufacturing (machining processing) [Strength of products/technologies] We have been in the business for over a quarter of a century. Our consistent, uncompromising passion toward quality processing has led to our excellent techniques. We have integrated our existing technology, material properties, and tool selection in our processing machines, with the goal of pursuing the techniques of a master craftsman. This has made it possible for us to achieve micron-order clearance after producing many prototypes based on the knowledge and experience of our craftsmen. [Representative's message] We have met many people and accumulated a great deal of processing experience since our foundation in 1986. This has allowed us to secure the reliable techniques of a master craftsman and irreplaceable trust. We believe that Monozukuri craftsmanship is the crystallization of a trinity of knowledge, human resources, and machines. We are never complacent about our current situation, and always keep in mind that technology is evolving every day. We are fully committed to acquiring the technologies related to next-generation processing and passing them down to the future craftsmen we train. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Our new factory buildings were completed in Tusda Science Hills in 2004, and after that we had a dream of adding a second production site in Vietnam. That dream came true in November 2012 when we established KSM Co., Ltd. in Long Thanh Industrial Park in Dong Nai Province, in southern Vietnam. We are instilling the basics of Monozukuri craftsmanship in our Vietnam factory so they can also produce the same high-quality products. [Market share/Ranking] We are a subcontractor, so we do not have precise data for our share. [Awards and media coverage] [Awards] Osaka Monozukuri Award (2008); Enhancement of Industrial Technology and Quality Improvement commendation by Osaka Prefecture (2005). [Media] NHK/BS1, "Exciting Asia" (May 18, 2013); NHK/BS1, "Exciting Asia II" (May 18, 2014); Hirakata Cable TV, "Lively Industry!
