We perform high-precision processing of electronic and optical components that are mainly made of ceramic material.

Our company processes various electronic and optical components that are mostly made of ceramics, and our services are provided with speed and flexibility. We have highly advanced machining, grinding, and optical film deposition technologies. This is how we can efficiently and accurately process difficult-to-machine substrates that have high heat dissipation properties (used in LED lighting equipment or power devices for hybrid vehicles). It also allows us to process sapphire substitute substrates (used in SAW devices for smartphones and tablets).

[Company strength]
Japanese electronic and optical component makers strive to retain their competitive edge against overseas makers through continued R&D efforts on new materials and new functional materials. What is important for the functional materials is not limited to their special functionalities. It also includes the manufacturing technologies and the quality of the manufacturing method that the material is based on. We pursue such manufacturing technologies, and we are always trying to enhance our productivity. This is because we need to enhance cost competitiveness as an independently managed, non-subsidiary company, even though we constantly receive inquiries about manufacturing projects from various customers.

[Business description]
Our company is positioned between material makers and component device makers. We provide material processing services (MPS) as an independent, non-subsidiary manufacturer. We specialize in proposals and processing for various materials, such as ceramics, glass, crystal, quartz, and functional crystals, which are used mainly in electronic, electric, and optical components. The following are the main materials that we process.
Ceramics: Alumina, nitride aluminum, silicon nitride, PZT, zirconia, barium titanate, calcium titanate, and so on.
Glass: Electronic components, and glass for optical components.
Crystals: Artificial crystals for optical and telecommunications use.
Quartz: Synthetic quartz, and fused quartz.
Functional crystals: Various crystal products, including LN, LT, MgO, CaF2, MgF2, and GGG.
Other brittle materials: Samarium cobalt, neodymium iron boron, and ferrite.

Electronic and optical material precision processing

[Strength of products/technologies]
Most companies specialize in only one technological element such as cutting, machining, or grinding. Our strength comes from the fact that we can provide multiple technologies through an integrated production system that covers all of these manufacturing technologies, as well as optical film deposition. Our service’s merits include total cost reduction as a result of reduced lead time, reduced stock of semi-manufactured goods, a flexible supply system, and reduced management and labor costs. It also results in clearly defined roles and responsibilities regarding quality assurance operations. We have another advantage in managing technical, confidential information, as this information can be managed centrally.

[Representative's message]
Our company specializes in precision manufacturing of electronic and optical materials. We have accumulated and refined a variety of processing technologies to conduct consignment manufacturing in various fields. We positioned this business type as a Material Processing Service (MPS) business, and enhanced our integrated production system to manage processing in these fields. We take pride in supplying all processing through our one-stop processing service, and in supporting customers from behind the scenes. This is how we contribute to the development of a wide range of industries. We will continue to refine our technological strength so that we can help customers in their manufacturing operations as a business partner.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our company processes a wide range of materials including ceramics. We are trying to arrange other conditions in addition to our accumulated manufacturing experience and technologies regarding these materials. This includes acquiring ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification to prove that we are worthy of our customers’ trust, so that customers can work with us with peace of mind. Some of our top 10 customers change every year due to the nature of our business. This is why we always maintain an organizational framework concentrating on the sales department, because developing new business and cultivating new markets are essential to the survival of our company. We actively participate in exhibitions every year in the form of independent and joint booths, and this policy will not change in the future.

[Market share/Ranking]
We have the largest share of the domestic Japanese ceramics consignment manufacturing market as an independent, non-subsidiary company. Our production capacity is also one of the largest.

[Awards and media coverage]
Received Nagano Prefecture Management Quality Award and Excellence Award (March 2013); Nagano Monozukuri Excellence (October 2014).

ISO 9001; ISO 14001; Sony Green Partner.

[Joint research and development]

[Transaction terms]
Billing cycle ends at the end of each month, and bills are settled in cash by the end of the next month.

[Main Clients / Business History (domestic)]
Kyocera, Toshiba Group, and many other electronic and optical material makers and assembly makers.

[Main Clients / Business History (overseas)]
We do not directly receive orders for consignment manufacturing. Such orders should involve a trading company as go-between.
