[Company strength]
The company name is derived from our founding principle “always aim at positively advancing together with everyone associated with the company”. Our strength lies in this united spirit. Since our company is a key member of “Kyoto Shisaku (trial fabrication) Net”, we can collaborate in Monozukuri craftsmanship to meet all customer needs.

[Industry]
Manufacturing of electric appliances

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our core technologies are the precise analogue measurement technology and high-voltage and high-frequency power supply control technology accumulated through many years of experience with production inspection equipment for cathode ray tubes. The pillar of our business is novel energy-related devices based on these technologies. For example, our world-exclusive inspection technology developed in collaboration with AIST was used in inspection equipment for solar cells and is now being distributed to Europe, the US, Taiwan, China, Korea, etc. We are also presently developing inspection equipment for fuel cells and lithium-ion batteries in addition to electric power control devices for microgrids.

[Representative's message]
We operate our business under the management vision “In 2048 we will celebrate our 100th anniversary due to the success of our new energy-related business”. In particular, we plan to expand our lineup of inspection equipment for solar cells and solar photovoltaic devices, which features the novel measurement technology developed in collaboration with AIST, by labeling it with the brand “KOPEL (Kyoshin Optoelectronics Solutions)”. We gave research presentations and demonstrations at international conferences in the US, Europe, Taiwan, and China in 2014. Our goal is to expand and achieve annual sales exceeding 500 million yen in three years.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We have consistently developed and manufactured electric and electronic devices to meet the needs of major companies. Given the increase in the required technical expertise as well as the development speed in the future, we intend to enhance our abilities and human resources in the technology, production, and inspection departments. We also intend to reinforce our technical response capability through collaboration with not only domestic companies but also overseas companies rather than working in isolation. We opened a Tokyo Sales Branch in autumn 2013, as a base for both the International Sales Unit, and for the eastern Japan region and overseas customers of solar cells. We also opened a solar cell measurement laboratory in Sagamihara.

[Market share/Ranking]
We take a unique strategy to develop products that perfectly fit our customers’ requirements to obtain the number-one share in niche markets.
