ACM Co., Ltd.

We manufacture parts made of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) with added value including light weight and high strength.

Our business covers design and molding of various advanced-technology composite materials (mainly CFRP), and bonding and finishing of composite materials, metal, ceramics, and wood. We develop parts taking advantage of the features of CFRP. It has advantages including light weight, high strength and rigidity, and dimensional stability. It is used for equipment for manufacturing large liquid crystal components, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and other products that could not be developed with metal or plastic.

[Company strength]
Our strength is expressed in our motto: “Manufacture products that meet customer requirements with our thorough service from material design to molding, mechanical processing, joining, assembly, finishing and inspection.”
CFRP molding products, which are our major products, need the following steps: (1) material design (laminate design), (2) structure design, (3) jig design, (4) molding, (5) mechanical processing, (6) assembly, (7) finishing, and (8) final inspection.
All of these are very important and each has to be interlinked. Our company takes them all on.
CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) is an anisotropic material with mechanical and physical properties that are controlled by fiber. It is susceptible to distortion due to stress modification caused by molding (temperature change from curing to room temperature), cutting (fiber cutting), and bonding (hardening shrinkage). It is therefore essential to incorporate all the requirements for molding, mechanical processing, and assembly into the material and structure design so that the quality the customer demands can be achieved.
We have helped customers change existing materials that they conventionally used (isotropic materials such as metal) to CFRP for their new developments. We first make trial products to check the quality and functions, review the entire process, and remake the products to ensure that customer requirements are met.
Our company has an integrated Monozukuri craftsmanship system. We take pride in our quality service throughout the process to make a product, from inquiries to trial and actual manufacturing, and deliveries with a short lead time.

[Business description]
We design and mold various advanced-technology composite materials (mainly CFRP), and offer bonding and finishing of composite material, metal, ceramics, and wood.

[Industry]
Plastic product manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) is material with a number of excellent features. These include light weight, high strength, high rigidity, dimensional stability, vibration damping, X-ray transmissivity, etc., which existing parts made of iron, aluminum, or plastic do not have.
We cover the entire process of custom-made manufacturing from design to inspection according to customer requirements. We use the features of CFRP to make parts for equipment for manufacturing large liquid crystal components and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. We also manufacture other high-speed manufacturing equipment that could not be developed with metal or plastic.

[Representative's message]
We think that our mission is to introduce the excellent material CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) to society. We will be able to say that our mission has been successfully achieved when the size of our company is 10 times larger in 10 years.
We are fully committed to striving to promote CFRP becoming widespread in society and to making our employees and customers happier.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We have increased the number of staff members in the business development department (now we have 8 members with 3 new members). This department is in charge of designing sales, products, laminates, and structures. This allows us to assign a person dedicated to each task, technical meetings with suppliers, design, and production control.
We have also purchased a large-sized oven for molding (to be installed in March 2014) so that we can meet more demands from new customers.
