Nango Co., Ltd.

Our company can reproduce trick art on thick metal plates, using our own unique technology.

We are a metal machining manufacturer that mainly receives small-lot orders for machining parts that are a little larger than medium-size. We reproduced a kind of trick art called a stereogram by adding bumps on thick metal plates. This was accomplished by making the most of our accumulated machining technology, and we have patented this manufacturing method for future sales expansion overseas. Our customers include automakers, transportation equipment makers, and industrial machinery makers in Japan. We have a joint R&D project with Kyoto Institute of Technology.

[Company strength]
Most of the orders we receive are for machining parts that are slightly larger than medium-sized, and for machining and manufacturing small-lot works, which have now become our strengths. This is because of the technologies we have accumulated through our years of service in the auto industry. Our company also excels in providing consulting, design, and manufacturing services for small jigs and labor-saving equipment that are too minor for sending an order to a factory equipment maker.

[Industry]
Manufacturing (metal machining work)

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our company succeeded in reproducing a kind of trick art called a stereogram by adding bumps on metal plates. This was done using our accumulated machining technologies. We patented this manufacturing method, and started research and product design to commercialize it. A stereogram is an art form in which you can see a totally different picture emerge from ordinary patterns when you stare at it with intentionally unfocused eyes. Pictures previously expressed as two-dimensional, such as two-dimensional printing on paper, are turned into three-dimensional pictures on thick metal plates. This is done through the use of our unique technologies.

[Representative's message]
Our main business is precision metal machining. We are also currently developing a range of products with a good product and brand concept for the stereogram (stereo lithography) technology that we developed and patented. This is a challenging project for a factory that has been running on a build-to-order basis, in which we have to develop our own product. We plan to patent this technology overseas, so we hope to develop attractions and souvenirs with this stereogram technology for overseas theme parks. We will be extremely delighted if our products add more fun, which is our current goal.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our company has been nurtured by automakers, so we do not limit ourselves to major companies. We mainly do business every day through the sales department and engineering department (design department). Our main business is metal machining. This is not something we can practically expand overseas, so that is not our business goal. Overseas expansion will be conducted around our stereogram (stereo lithography) technology. We can do business anywhere as long as the country or environment allows us to use English in business situations.

[Market share/Ranking]
Our company manufactures parts, prototypes, and one-off parts for production facilities. Some consumer products are being planned, but have not been launched yet.
