Kitano Seiki Co. Ltd.
We have top-level technical power in the field of vacuum technologies in Japan.
We mainly design, manufacture, and sell vacuum equipment for R&D. We are receiving an increasing number of orders from R&D departments of major manufacturers as well as from our previous main customers such as universities and public research organizations. This is because of our high technical power. We have an integrated system from parts-making to treatment, assembly, inspection, testing, and startup, as well as after-sale support. We have many patented technologies and have participated in many industry-university projects.
Other presentation
[Company strength] We have been designing, manufacturing, and selling many kinds of trial equipment for R&D, such as vacuum and low-temperature equipment, since our foundation in 1958. We have been engaged in designing and developing many R&D devices. We have a combination of technologies from ultra-high vacuums, cryogenics, precision machining, and other technologies. Our technologies, know-how, long years of experience, and many achievements are highly appreciated among researchers working for R&D organizations of universities, governmental agencies, and private companies. Our company is located in Ota Ward, Tokyo, which is a world-leading area of concentrated industry. We have a powerful network linking affiliates and factories with high-grade processing technologies, flexibility, and locational advantages as a make-to-order industry for trial manufacturing and R&D. [Business description] We mainly design, manufacture, and sell vacuum equipment for R&D. Our products are motion drive devices and other ultra-high-vacuum devices (analyzers and thin-film deposition devices). We also handle flanges, joints, and vacuum current feedthrough. Most of our products are related to vacuum technology. The cryogenic (superconduction) field is our other main research field, although vacuum technology accounts for a greater percentage. We develop research equipment, so our business form is 100% make-to-order production. Our main customers used to be governmental and public organizations (universities and research institutes). However, orders from private companies (R&D departments of major companies, etc.) are increasing. The percentage is now about 40% for governmental and public organizations and 60% for private companies. [Industry] R&D device, equipment, and parts manufacturing and sales [Strength of products/technologies] Our company began its long history of business in May 1948. We are expanding our business for R&D with our advantages in designing and developing various kinds of equipment. We have an integrated system from parts-making to treatment, assembly, inspection, testing, and startup, as well as after-sale support. We are devoted to providing high-quality products and good experimental environments through this system. We develop devices to enable experimentation under vacuum, atmospheric, marine, and various other environments. Our fields are currently extending to new materials, nanotechnologies, FPDs, photovoltaic cells, and nuclear power. We have many patented technologies and participate in many industry-university projects. Our technical power is highly appreciated. We are a top-level manufacturer in Japan, particularly in vacuum-related fields. [Representative's message] Our aim for overseas development is to coexist with researchers. Our main target in the future is to establish overseas sales channels. We are now proceeding with a plan for sales to universities and organizations in Europe and America. This plan will be fully implemented in two years. Many students with foreign language proficiency will be joining our company next spring as part of our plan. We are preparing the base for our leap into the world. We hope to take a giant step in 2014. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] We are working hard to increase our customer base as part of our overseas strategy. This includes concluding partnerships with organizations in the United States, the UK, and China (indirect transaction) to exploit new overseas markets. We specialize in the field of vacuum technology. We have top-level technical power in Japan and great reliance from researchers who have been our long-term customers for. We will also be able to secure a certain quantity of orders in the future.
