SANKO MOLD CO.,LTD.

We manufacture plastic processing products, with die design using a flow analysis system.

We process plastics for seat belt parts, sun visor parts, and so on, with a focus on switch parts for electronic automobile accessories. We manufacture dies for producing these items. We have realized an optimal runner/gate design by integrating our die know-how with a flow analysis system. At the same time, for the past several years we have also been working to develop products related to bone conduction. We have also established overseas bases in Vietnam and Thailand in order to expand our overseas sales activities.

[Company strength]
We have been focusing on manufacturing exterior parts ever since our foundation. These include automobile switches and automobile plastic parts related to safety, such as seat belts. We have an extensive track record of deliveries to major companies. After the collapse of Japan’s bubble economy we shifted our business from trial manufacturing to mass production and established two overseas bases. We have established a quality control and mass production management system that enables us to maintain the strict demands for quality and low costs required for automobile parts. This is demonstrated by the commendation we received from Tokai Rika. We have received Strategic Core Technology Advancement Program approval. We are also working hard to receive subsidies, to conduct industry-university joint research, and to expand into new business areas.

[Business description]
Our company conducts both die manufacturing and plastic processing. We process plastics for seat belt parts, sun visor parts, and sound isolation and vibration prevention parts for automobiles, with a focus on switch parts for electronic automobile parts. We manufacture dies for producing these items and dies for external sales. We have established an integrated system for plastic processing to receive orders from trial manufacturing of dies to mass production, and we have accumulated abundant experience. We established a production site in Vietnam in 2000 and in Thailand in 2013 in order to respond to the needs of overseas Japanese companies and work toward global expansion.

[Industry]
Molds and dies, parts and accessories for nonmetal products (2692)

[Strength of products/technologies]
We realize an optimal runner/gate design by integrating our know-how accumulated in trial production using prototype dies with an up-to-date flow analysis system. We have highly efficient CAD/CAM equipment, and we design dies using both 2D and 3D data. We have introduced new and powerful machines as die machining equipment in order to tackle the treatment of hard-to-cut materials such as ultra-hard alloys and the like. We have been developing products related to bone conduction since 2010, and we have received high evaluations for our oscillator for communication. We plan to positively develop innovative oscillators and to develop products making use of these oscillators, and we will target expanding their area of application.

[Representative's message]
Our factory in Vietnam was founded as a first step for our global expansion. We have been accumulating delivery experience for 14 years since our foundation, mainly with Japanese companies. This is done using our integrated production ability in designing and manufacturing dies, injection molding, and assembly. We started operations in our factory in Thailand in 2013, which is our second overseas base. We are conducting sales activities in our factory in Thailand with Japanese automobile parts manufacturers that have advanced into Thailand. We receive comprehensive orders for switches and resin parts for seat belts covering both designing and manufacturing dies, and injection molding. We hope to realize satisfactory service and support for customers by cooperation among Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We plan to receive comprehensive orders for parts for newly developed vehicles with Sanko Mold and Plastics Thailand Co., Ltd. as the starting point. We will also work in close cooperation with Tokai Rika (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Thai Seat Belt Co., Ltd., and the overseas affiliates of Tokai Rika, which are our major customers. We are developing the bone conduction field as a new business. We plan to expand our business to domestic major companies and overseas companies by utilizing a framework of new cooperative activities.
