[Company strength]
We have an integrated production system covering design to manufacturing of prototype automobiles. We have a full range of hard and soft infrastructure. This includes over 240 development engineers, 40 state-of-the-art CAD units, 20 5-axis NC machines, and various RP processing machines (photo fabrication, powder molding, and 3D printing). Most of our business involves direct dealings with Japanese automakers, such as Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. We are also engaged in highly confidential fields in automobile development.

Our company was founded in 1939. We are a manufacturer that supports customers in developing automobiles. Our business includes design, production of design mock-up models, design data creation, support for design and analysis, and prototype development for test cars and parts. We use the technologies we have accumulated over the years and our state-of-the-art facilities to support overall development operations for both domestic and overseas automakers.

Design (staff from automakers), design development (CATIA, Alias, ICEM Surf), clay modeling, 3D measurement (MetraSCAN, ATOS, FARO). RP (photo fabrication equipment, powder molding machine, 3D printer), engineering (CATIA, UG, I-DEAS, HyperWorks), autoclave, 5-axis NC machine, and RIM injection mold. The scale of our staff and equipment are close to that of an automaker’s development division.

Our only overseas site is on the West Coast of the US, but we are also considering an expansion to Asia. Last year we conducted research on operating in China with the help of SME Support Japan (F/S Support Program). We have technology partnerships with engineering companies in Europe to implement joint projects with automakers. We are working hard to aim for further technological innovation and to give feedback to R&D operations. This includes other industries such as household appliances, medical care, construction, aerospace, and railways in addition to in the field of automobiles and motorcycles.

Our US subsidiary responds to inquiries from North America, and our representative office (agent) responds to inquiries from China. Inquiries from Southeast Asia are answered by our partner trading company. Our representative office also responds to inquiries from Europe. We have an increasing number of opportunities to give joint presentations with our overseas-company technology partners to Japanese automakers that we have connections with. In such cases, engineers from overseas are sometimes stationed within our facility.
