KISO INDUSTRY Co., Ltd.

Zero Bump is an advanced damping material rubber compound that converts vibration into electrical energy.

We are expanding the manufacture of damping and noise reduction products that make use of the highly efficient Zero Bump damping rubber composite. Zero Bump is lightweight compared with conventional damping materials. It can be applied to a number of different markets. These include industrial products that require suppression of motor sound and vibration, seismic-controlled housing materials that suppress earthquake vibration, and audio products in which sound quality is especially valued. It is also highly useful for noise reduction for home electronics appliances and the processing technology field.

[Company strength]
We examine prototype arrangements using our in-house equipment (2-axis extrusion, hot rolling, and press molding machines). Damping performance and physical properties are evaluated at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Asai laboratory).
This project has received New Partnerships approval. We are subsidized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for market cultivation.

[Business description]
We manufacture and sell damping and noise reduction (noise suppression) products that make use of the highly efficient Zero Bump damping rubber composite. We have constructed a system in which our company carries out product planning, design, and sales, and our subcontractor manufactures the molded products in its factory.

[Strength of products/technologies]
Zero Bump is lightweight compared with conventional damping materials. It can be molded into any form according to the application, so we anticipate its use in various areas. Markets include industrial products that require suppression of motor sound and vibration as well as seismic-controlled housing materials that suppress earthquake vibration. It is also used for silent medical equipment that is gentle on patients and audio products in which sound quality is especially valued. Our product can suppress the low-frequency sound that was regarded as being impossible to suppress using damping material. Our technology is indispensable in technology fields where fine vibration significantly affects product accuracy. This includes precise machining, and the precise fine-processing technologies that are the foundation of high technology, as well as noise reduction for home electronics appliances.

[Representative's message]
Our business environment is constantly changing, as we saw in the high-growth era from the 1950s to the 1970s, and the “20 lost years” after the collapse of the “bubble” economy. It is natural that such changes will continue in the future.
It will be most important for us to continue our business while keeping in touch with such changes, and to continuously pursue customer satisfaction. We will work to expand overseas to markets mainly in Southeast Asia with sincere and quick support, and with sufficient time and expense.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
The technical staff of our affiliate company Taitex Japan, which specializes in damping material, will support customers with technical advice. We may consult Emeritus Professor Masao Sumita (damping materials) and Professor Kazuhiko Kasai (damping structures) of the Tokyo Institute of Technology for academic aspects of measures against vibration and noise. Our sales staff will proactively make on-the-spot visits in order to offer overseas transaction solutions to our customers. Our product has received New Partnerships approval. We can quickly support sample manufacturing and evaluation using subsidies.
