SAK Co., Ltd.
We manufacture anti-fall net fences to prevent ceilings and external walls from falling due to earthquakes or deterioration. We manufacture lightweight ceiling systems that do not fall or break.
Our company conducts R&D to prevent external walls, ceilings, and other non-structural members from falling or to make them resistant to earthquakes. We also provide products that do not collapse. It is a feature of our anti-fall net fences for existing ceilings that fluorescent lamps can be replaced without demolishing the existing ceiling. We conducted a demonstration experiment on 40-kg suspended ceilings and other falling objects and Sojo University conducted a 100-kg loading demonstration experiment. No damage was caused in these experiments. This proved that our products are very practical and safe.
[Product description] This corresponds to anti-fall measures for existing buildings under the Building Standards Act Enforcement Order revised on April 1, 2014. Our failsafe anti-fall net fence can be attached without demolishing an existing ceiling. Hanging bolts, joint nuts, wire fixtures, wire brackets, wires, and anti-fall nets are used under an existing ceiling. We plan, design, propose, and install failsafe measures based on our patented anti-fall net fence according to possible falls from buildings. We have received about 30 requests and inquiries from throughout the nation since the cabinet order issued by the current government (in August 2013). We will work together with a major steel company for quotations and construction. [Intellectual property] Anti-Fall Net Fence for Existing Ceilings (Japanese Unexamined Patent Application No. 5268169; registered May 17, 2013).
[Product description] This is our patented product. It falls under the “Other ceilings” category other than specified ceilings among ceilings that are the object of anti-fall measures and verification routes. These regulations are established by the Building Standards Act Enforcement Order (Notice No.771 by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) revised in April 1, 2014. Our vibration-absorption suspended ceiling system for newly established and newly built ceilings (SAKCS) falls under “Other ceilings.” This is in the category other than specified ceilings where the mass of the ceiling is 2 kg or less per square meter. This makes it unnecessary to follow verification routes under the Building Standard Act. Designers have a great advantage of applying for confirmation according to their own safety judgment. Users of this new ceiling system can be competitive both in terms of cost and construction in the future ceiling industry. [Intellectual property] Vibration-Absorption Suspended Ceiling and Its Construction Method (Japanese Unexamined Patent Application No. 5238091; registered April 5, 2013).
[Product description] Buildings are required to have their external walls diagnosed periodically under the new system of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The first investigation occurs 10 years after construction or repair of external walls, and it is required to be a total percussion test of external walls. The owner or manager of the building is obliged to make periodic reports. Our failsafe anti-fall net fence for external walls is attached on an existing ceiling using wire fixtures, wire brackets, modesty panels, wires, and anti-fall nets. We plan, design, propose, and install failsafe measures based on our patented anti-fall net fence according to possible falls from buildings. We have received several requests and inquiries for planning and quotation. We will work together with a major steel company for quotations and construction. [Intellectual property] Anti-Fall Net Fence for Architecture and Its Construction Method (Japanese Patent Application No. 2013-186806; dated September 9, 2013).
[Product description] The Building Standards Act Enforcement Order as revised on April 1, 2014 makes it mandatory to prevent parts falling from existing buildings. Our failsafe anti-fall net fence prevents a ceiling from falling due to its displacement in an earthquake. Our attachment method (patent pending) for vibration-absorption ceiling improvement structures with anti-fall nets for ceilings suppresses horizontal ceiling collision impact on internal peripheral wall during construction. [Intellectual property] Attachment Method for Vibration-Absorption Ceiling Improvement Structure and Vibration-Absorption Improvement Structure with Anti-Fall Net Fence for Ceilings (Japanese Patent Application No. 2013-17865; dated August 20, 2013).
