We promote the development of various inks by using technology for nano-order particulate dispersion of azo organic pigments.

We manufacture processed pigments using nano-order particulate dispersion technology. We also manufacture electrodes by oxide synthesis for fuel cells and other types of cells or batteries, solid electrolytic materials, and biodegradable resin. This is done with an emphasis on materials science. We promote joint R&D on environmental businesses with universities and manufacturers. We already have experience in the United States and Europe, and will strengthen our sales to Asia, the Middle East, and South America.

[Company strength]
Just under 40% of our employees belong to the R&D department and can provide individual, attentive support for customers in Japan and abroad. Our main customers are in the fields of materials science and materials-related businesses. We are working hard every day to quickly meet the detailed physicochemical requirements of each company.

[Business description]
We were founded as a company that synthetically manufactured azo organic pigments. We now energetically develop and commercialize various inks for stationery, stamps, and ink-jet printers and various functional coating materials (conductive, antibacterial, insulative, and heat-resistant). This is done by nano-order particle dispersion of various pigments. Our current main line of business is related to materials science. We manufacture electrodes by oxide synthesis. They are used for fuel cells, solar cells, lithium-ion batteries and other types of cells or batteries, solid electrolytic materials, and biodegradable resin.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We have more than 75 years of history in synthesizing azo organic pigments. We have higher technologies than any other manufacturer in Japan or abroad, which are sufficient to meet various requests. We also have a great variety of processed pigments using nano-order particulate dispersion technology. Our company is carefully commercializing color materials for stationery, stamps, and ink-jet printers. We also develop conductive, antibacterial, and other functional particulate dispersion and coating materials to meet customer requirements. We apply our nano-order particulate dispersion technology to battery electrodes and solid electrolytic materials to provide battery materials with higher conversion efficiency.

[Representative's message]
I am proficient in English and other languages as I have experience living overseas. We intend to further accelerate our overseas development. We are proceeding with highly advanced R&D, particularly regarding the group of products in the environmental business. This includes battery materials, functional coating materials, and biodegradable resin. Our current R&D activities are joint research with universities and English academic papers. We carry out conference presentations and joint research with the development departments of major manufacturers in Japan and abroad. We plan to establish a branch in Bangkok, Thailand.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We already sell large volumes of colored products mainly to major companies in Japan and abroad. We have a long history of experience in exports to the United States and Europe. We will mainly promote sales to Asia, Middle East, and South America in future. We will further strengthen our overseas sales, because our overseas sales ratio is only about 20% of overall sales. We will also steadily consolidate the manufacturing division for major companies to ensure in-time deliveries of large-volume orders.

Articles on our world-first aluminum rechargeable air cell in more than 40 media outlets, such as Chemical Daily, Asahi Shimbun Digital, and Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun Digital (October 11, 2013).

Research with Kobe University on dioxide titanium negative electrode for dye sensitized solar cells (2004–2006); joint research with Hyogo Prefectural Institute of Technology and University of Hyogo on electrode and solid electrolytic materials for medium-temperature solid oxide fuel cell (2011–2016); and so on. English academic papers and international conference presentations (8 or more) and occasional joint development with major companies.
