[Company strength]
We commercialized a heat insulator in 1973 under joint development with an automobile manufacturer, and we metalized the head gasket for an automobile gasoline engine in 1986 (world-first success). We have confidence in our development power. We have established overseas manufacturing bases (in China, Malaysia and Thailand). We also manufacture high-quality products at these bases, which match domestic Japanese products, by adopting the same quality control method as that of the domestic Japanese factory.

[Business description]
Various fluids such as air, combustion gas, cooling water, and engine oil are used in automobiles. We design sealing parts according to our original method in order to seal up these fluids and prevent leakage. We have commercialized these products using our pressing and coating technology. Combustion gas is expelled through the exhaust manifold at high temperature. We design heat insulators equipped with functions of shielding the heat and sound that are produced in the exhaust process, and manufacture them using deep-drawing pressing.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We have established an integrated system from design to development and manufacturing in order to adapt to various customer requests (such as combustion pressure and use environment). This system includes experiments and inspection work, theoretical analysis, prototype manufacturing, process design for mass production, manufacturing and maintenance of dies for mass production, and so on. We perform analysis in advance that makes it possible to predict functions, so we can check the reliability of the functions without having to manufacture a prototype. This contributes to shortening the development period. We concentrate on technology development, and 36 staff members, or 20% of our total work force, are involved in technology development.

We have been accumulating technology on pressing, rubber coating, etc., for many years since our foundation in 1941, based on our experience and performance. We have also been constructing a technology development system such as an integrated system from design to manufacturing, experiments, and CAE analysis. We manufacture products with a focus on metal head gaskets and heat insulators. We established bases in Japan and three overseas locations (China, Malaysia and Thailand) in order to respond to today’s global needs. We pursue a sense of security for our customers and high-quality products by creating a global standard. We also aim to be a leading company in this industry by further advancing our products.

We have integrated our design and sales departments, and shifted our organization to a system in which we can provide quick, appropriate responses to inquiries and requirements from customers. We have assigned dedicated staff in Japan in order to maintain high quality from start-up to mass production in our three overseas manufacturing bases (in China, Malaysia, and Thailand). Our whole company hopes to sincerely support customers in Japan and abroad while sharing information.
