[Company strength]
Polyfunctional acrylic monomers, urethane acrylate, and epoxy acrylate are raw ingredients for UV-curable materials, which are used in a wide range of applications. We industrialized polyfunctional monomers for the first time in Japan,  and are capable of meeting customer needs with our large variety of monomers.

We manufacture and sell polyfunctional acrylic monomers, urethane acrylate, epoxy acrylate, acrylic polymers (solution polymerization), acrylic polymers (emulsion polymerization), and their compounds. Our main product, UV-curable materials, represents 65% of our sales.

[Strength of products/technologies]
We have the technology capable of meeting various customers’ needs for acrylic materials. We receive orders in small lots for laboratory scale experiments and small-scale plants, up to production plants (a scale from 500ml up to tonnage).  We have a superior line-up including prototypes with a wider variety of Polyfunctional acrylate and methacrylate.

[Representative's message]
Our company was established in 1938 under the name of the Nakamura Chemical Laboratory as a manufacturer of industrial fiber auxiliaries which was a local industry. Then in 1970 the company was re-incorporated as Shin Nakamura Chemical Co. Ltd., aiming at further breakthroughs.  At that time, our main products, polyfunctional acrylic monomer (NK ester), started to be used for UV-curative resins.  They contributed to the growth of the company greatly.  This application still has a great potential for further expansion.  We will aggressively carry on developing future applications and overseas expansion.

We have sales offices in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Shanghai.  Our commercial departments are contacts for major domestic corporations and overseas corporations.  Their personnel also visit clients for better understanding of their inquiries and requirements.  28 research and development staff members are working at our headquarters, and are addressing technical issues and engaged in joint developments.
