[Product description] This is a proprietary partially gold plated electrical contact developed by our company with manufacturing subsidiary aid funds. Traditionally gold plating has always meant gold plating an entire object, and the cost was proportional to the amount of metal needed for this. At this company, we limited the gold plating to the head portion of the rivet electrical contacts, and by doing so were able to drastically reduce both the amount of metal required and the production cost of the units.
