JNET Co., Ltd.
Developing on-board monitoring devices that output in 0.01 ? units
We have developed on-board monitoring devices capable of accurately measuring tip coordinates, cutting edge diameters, and other data of rotating tools. These devices allow anyone to produce high precision machined products. We also develop an imaging-based inspection system that can be used in all types of manufacturing and other facilities.
Other presentation
[Company strength] We have developed, manufactured, and sold monitoring devices for machine tools in the past ten years. Our devices precisely measure diameters, shapes, and other data, including tip coordinates, cutting circumference, and spindle rotation inside the machining equipment. With our know-how and intellectual properties accumulated over years, we have solidified our leading position over competitors. Our shipment volume has also increased steadily in recent years, which enables us, through economies of scale, to lower costs and subsequently our product prices. [Business description] Our main business used to be precision machining with a 10 year history. However, we faced a decreasing number of skilled craftsmen and increased demand for higher precision, as well as business deals lost to overseas in the post-Lehman economic slowdown. We had to take cost reduction measures and needed to manufacture high precision products without pricy machining equipment and seasoned craftsmen. We then developed an on-board monitoring system that allows anyone to manufacture high precision products. This device was initially used only in-house, but at our customers' request, we began selling the device externally, which has now become our principal business. [Industry] Manufacture and sale of precision measuring equipment along with precision machining [Strength of products/technologies] We have been conducting on-board machine tool monitoring for more than a decade. With our know-how, our products manage output of the coordinates and diameters of tools that are dramatically changing in 0. 01μm units. Our devices have high stability and precision, which are unmatched by any others. We harness the technologies obtained through the development of these on-board measurement devices and sell them. We also engage in development and sale of an imaging-based inspection system, which can be used in a wide range of manufacturing and other facilities. We are capable of providing inspection equipment and measuring devices that were nonexistent before. [Representative's message] Although this product has a high commercial potential, we have failed to conduct sufficient sales and marketing activities in the past with no sales personnel within the company. However, the number of machine tools shipped by domestic manufacturers, to which the product can be mounted, totaled 37,600 units. This shows how big the market size of the product is. (If our device is mounted on 2% of these tools, that'll be 700 units per year). Considering the after-sales market, the number could be five-fold. We are producing an English version, and are considering overseas expansion. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] With our Jeyecore business rapidly expanding, we have hired engineers and secured cooperation from external companies, and are now have a development structure toquickly respond to development needs. We are now ready to handle individual special orders. We will also further improve our own capabilities depending on market changes in future.
