[Company strength]
We have high-level planning and designing capabilities, and manufacture FA systems in which robots are incorporated. We use three-dimensional CAD in our designs. We check material movement and interference, and also design parts while conducting stress analysis. We use control methods mainly involving sequence control and microcomputer control in electrical systems. We conduct integrated production from precision machining to assembly. We also directly visit clients to guide installation and assist in launching mass production. We incorporate self-developed 3-axis sliders and positioners in the manufacturing lines which we produce, so we can realize automation at minimum cost without changing factory lines.

We mainly manufacture peripheral equipment for industrial robots, and conduct integrated work from planning to design, manufacturing, and delivery of various FA systems. We produce high-mix low-volume manufacturing-adapted welding devices, automotive parts welding robot lines, construction machine parts welding robot lines, etc. in which robots are utilized. We deliver products to leading companies. We also develop robots in other fields, such as weeding robots.

[Representative's message]
Industrial robots are actively operating to improve quality and save labor in the manufacturing sites of automobiles, home electric appliances, and houses. They are now an indispensable tool for Monozukuri craftsmanship. Japan is the world’s most advanced robot country. It is said that about 77% of robots delivered in the world are used in Japan, about 40% of which are manufactured in Japan. We have been fully utilizing our unique ideas and high technologies, and providing robot-utilizing systems, peripheral equipment for robots, and various FA devices since our company was founded. We will also devote ourselves to our studies in the future to continue expanding our business in Japan, and also in Asia and other regions. 


[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
In the domestic Japanese market, we will set up sales bases in Kanto District, and will set up production bases after strengthening cooperative relationship with customers. In overseas markets, we will foster our Indonesian factory as a new production base, and will share production functions between Japanese and Indonesian factories. We also plan to research the Malaysian market and enter into a technical tie-up with an Indian company. We will further spread the IKOMA brand.
