We developed monocrystal tin plating, which is harder than ordinary tin plating.

We are a plating company that mainly focuses on developing functional plating, and especially environmentally friendly plating technologies. We possess unique technologies such as lead-free solder plating and hexavalent chromium free chromating. We recently developed monocrystal tin plating as a replacement for the gold plating that is often used on electronic components. Monocrystal tin plating has excellent insertion/extraction performance.

For our company, “plating services” refers to all the things we can do while a product is in our hands. This includes plating technologies, and related performance such as the quality of the plating itself. It also includes being able to guarantee technologies and quality (QA ability), to manufacture in a short lead time, to respond to customer needs, to cut costs, and environmental responses. Our strength lies in the fact that we polish and improve our plating services, and deliver these services to all of our customers in the best possible way.

We are a plating company with a 70-year history. Functional plating makes up the majority of our business, among which we have focused on developing environmentally friendly plating technologies. We now have unique technologies such as lead-free solder plating that suppresses the generation of whiskers, hexavalent chromium free chromating (galvanization), gold plating on precision components, and so on.

Manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
Many electronic components require surface treatment with precious metals to enhance reliability, but precious metals are becoming increasingly hard to procure because of the price and supply. This is why we developed a completely new monocrystal tin plating as a replacement plating for gold plating, which is the most commonly used on electronic components. The films created after reflow are harder than tin plating, and excel in insertion/extraction performance. They also have superior whisker resistance, solderability, and corrosion resistance.

Plating is a fundamental technology that is used in a wide range of industries. This includes aircraft, automobiles, medical devices, digital household appliances, and so on. None of these products function without plating. Cutting-edge research laboratories mainly in the nanotechnology field are also now developing technologies to create “things” from wet process plating technology. As long as we pay sufficient attention to environmental protection, we believe that this is our most useful job for society. We hope to remain the kind of company that contributes to society, and that is needed by society.

We make technological appeals through the sales division in our dealings with major companies. The development department makes technical proposals and develops prototypes. Mass production preparation is then made by the technology department. Overseas expansion is planned by our overseas planning office, which reports directly to the president.

Our company is ranked around 20th among the 2000 specialized plating companies. We are one of the largest plating companies in the Naka-Shikoku region.
