- Creating tangible designs that cannot be found anywhere in the world
We convert 3D curved-surface designs made using 3D CAD into triangular polygons and use the planes produced to make parts that are turned into living spaces and three-dimensional objects, such as household furniture. The process of turning 3D curved surfaces into polygons using special software and plug-ins for conversion and design is called “algorithmic design”.
3D scanner spatial measurement
Accurate measurement of the site is indispensable for the introduction of design processes that use 3D CAD data, which can shorten procedures and reduce costs. The 3D scanner method enables highly precise measurement of a subject that was difficult to measure and draw with existing methods as well as allow the measurement of every small detail of a site. Moreover, it does not result in repeated measurements owing to oversight, preventing unexpected cost and time loss.
BIOTRI is an assembly-type, made-to-order space module system that uses algorithmic design. Smooth 3D curves can be recreated using flat boards by turning them into polygons using algorithmic design. The process that we use to realize the ideas of our designers and engineers using digital technology and sheet metal techniques is applicable to many purposes, including interior spaces, furniture, and household goods. This is a new form of space construction system that can be used for both permanent and temporary spaces.
