[Company strength]
Our core technology is optical lens polishing and forming. The performance of digital cameras and liquid crystal TVs has been improving, so the glass lenses used on the shooting device are required to have better performance and quality. We have applied our 50 years of production know-how and used using various measuring instruments to develop 8K- and 16K-compatible lenses. We developed ND filter films without using Cr in our optical thin film development work. Our original technology includes metal film forming such as TiN film, and protective film forming for metal dies.

Our current development projects include 8K-compatible glass lenses, metal films, functional films, and equipment. We support customers in product development based on their needs.

Our company was established in April 1966, and we have been able to commemorate our fiftieth anniversary thanks to the patronage of our customers, and our business partners and employees. The fact that our company has survived the rugged times represents the efforts of enthusiastic employees who have pursued the world’s best products, never giving up on developing new technologies. We want to make a contribution for the sake of Japan as part of the world’s best optics industry. 


[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Our HQ plant is in charge of glass lens polishing and decorative films, while our Akata Plant develops metal films and functional films. This arrangement allows us to consistently create the world’s best products, and satisfy customer needs. We intend to cultivate markets by participating in exhibitions and business meetings so that our years of accumulated glass lens technology and new technology development capabilities can be better utilized.
