Three features of flexible sensor
★ Soft! High flexibility Printing a sensor on a thin film makes it a thin, light, and bendable sensor. It can be used for various purposes such as wrapping it around a bottle or piping, or inserting it into a narrow space. Printing on water-soluble film such as PVP film or paper makes the sensor even more distinctive. We sell "High Flexibility Humidity Sensor: TPS-1000" as a prototype, so please try it. ★ Fast! High speed production Taiyo Kikai's printing process is characterized by high-speed production. Produce sensors with the image of printing a newspaper. The flexographic printing method and quick-drying conductive water-based ink enable production of 50 m / min. ★ Wide! Large area The printing process can develop large sensors. For example, if you apply a humidity sensor to a pet sheet, you can grasp the number of times you urinate, which will lead to not only the time to replace the toilet but also the physical condition of your pet. Prototype example: I attached a sensor to a pet sheet.
Knowing how often you urinate will help you manage your pet's physical condition as well as when to replace the toilet seat. Place a moisture sensor under a pet sheet with slits at 5 mm intervals on the back, and drop 20 mL of water in the cup to see how the moisture sensor reacts. You can also see that if you remove the wet pet sheet and wipe off the water on the sensor, the sensor will return to its original value. The pet toilet sensor is just one example. This sensor is very interesting and has potential. We hope you find it useful in new product development.
Soft film electrode-Printed Electronics-

I want to shorten the period from research and development to mass production demonstration. .. .. .. ★ Flexible electrode with flexographic printing method Flexographic printing is a printing method that is becoming more widespread in the field of graphic printing, especially in Europe, where environmental awareness is high. Since it uses a soft resin plate, it is used not only for film but also for printing on uneven paper and non-woven fabric. In addition, the printed electrode is not only highly flexible by forming it on a soft film, but also excellent in high productivity by high-speed firing. As for the pattern, fine line pattern and endless pattern are possible due to the sophistication of the technology of each plate making company. ★ Application of printed electrodes ・ Flexible circuit It can be used for flexible devices. ・ Plating on printed electrodes Plating treatment such as Cu is applied according to the amount of current flowing. ・ Printing on PVP film, etc. By printing on a special base material that dissolves when it gets wet with water, it can be further enhanced.
■ About Taiyo Kikai Since its establishment in 1961, we have consistently developed, designed, manufactured and sold business form printing machines, sticker label printing machines, IJP paper transport machines, and other special processing machines. In the custom-made contract production of roll-to-roll printing and processing machines, different printing methods are combined in one unit to support various base materials and special processing. Applying this technology to the electronics field, we prototyped a humidity sensor coated with silver electrodes and cellulose nanofibers, which are moisture-sensitive materials, using a high-production method.
