Our company is a long-established machine manufacturer, which was founded in 1907. We develop and manufacture hemming machines to form cover parts for vehicle bodies, welding jigs, and labor-saving machines, as well as general industrial machines. We have an extensive track record in manufacturing various kinds of machines. We develop machines for caulking the edges of cover parts such as doors and hoods, and particularly press-type machines. Our products also include hydraulic tabletop types, and roll hemming types with robotic caulking rollers. We have experience in joint R&D with Nissan Motor. Our company is now cultivating global human resources for overseas expansion.
[Company strength] Our company has been developing equipment and devices for automobile pressing and welding processes for many years, and we have accumulated equipment development power and manufacturing know-how. We have 16 engineers who design products using 3D CAD, stress analysis simulation technology, and off-line teaching technology. We have high technical power. We are capable of creating functional parts in-house by using 13 machining centers (small and large), trial presses, and wire cut EDM. We have a comprehensive advantage of quickly manufacturing and delivering highly reliable machines. [Business description] Our company has been developing and manufacturing general industrial machines since our establishment in 1907. We now develop and manufacture hemming machines to form cover parts for vehicle bodies, welding jigs, and various labor-saving machines. Our technologies and experience particularly relate to machines for caulking the edges of cover parts such as doors and hoods, which determine the beauty and strength of vehicles. We manufacture press-type machines and also hydraulic tabletop machines as well as robots with caulking rollers for roll hemming. We also develop special devices, including circular cutters to cut film end materials, which are generated in film manufacturing processes but are not acceptable as products. [Industry] Transportation machine and equipment manufacturing [Strength of products/technologies] (1) Press hemming machines: The cam structure enables single-shot pressing to complete hemming. (2) Tabletop hemming machines: Equipment investment can be reduced to about 50% compared to a press hemming machine. (3) Robot roll hemming system: This system can flexibly meet demand for hemming cover parts in high-mix low-volume production. (4) Special equipment. We have sufficient development power to create circular cutters for films, lithium-ion battery manufacturing equipment, and other special equipment not handled by other companies. [Representative's message] The worldwide expansion of the automobile market is now accelerating local production on a global scale, such as in ASEAN countries, Russia, Brazil, and India. This is boosting the demand for low-cost, high-accuracy production equipment with great productivity. We will develop and manufacture hemming machines to meet this demand. We will quickly provide highly reliable equipment by making use of our abundant know-how and cutting-edge facilities and equipment. We have Vietnamese workers engaged in design in our company, and we plan to establish a company in Vietnam covering from development and design to maintenance. [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Our company is establishing a sales and technology frontline system with a former production engineer of a major automobile manufacturer in charge of transactions. We employed five Vietnamese students from Gunma University as engineers to cultivate human resources for future overseas expansion. [Market share/Ranking] Hemming machines: We have a share of about 25% of the Japanese market (ranking third in the industry). [Joint research and development] We are conducting joint development with a major automobile manufacturer. Our partner manufacturer started to adopt tabletop hemming machines in 1999, which was earlier than any other company. It has introduced them at many production sites in Japan and abroad. Our tabletop hemming machines can meet needs for high-mix low-volume production, special forming, and space saving that cannot be achieved with conventional hemming machines. We have realized high durability, reliability, and maintainability with many years of effort in development and improvement.
