We are the HF transmission equipment manufacturer that succeeded in realizing terahertz wave detection.

We develop equipment for transmission lines. We developed the world’s first ultra-compact terahertz wave detecting probe. It can be applied to non-destructive testing using terahertz waves, medicine development, security checks at airports, and examining paintings, cultural heritage objects, etc. It can also be used for near electric field measurement of electrical components. We have delivered products and systems in the field of electric/optical transducers and optical/electric transducers that utilize optical fiber transmission technology for a wide range of general applications. Our target has been to realize long-distance transmission and to remove dead zones for radio waves, such as in train radio systems in subways.

[Company strength]
We have been supplying products from parts to HF and optical transmission equipment systems since our foundation in 1971. We are proud of being the only such specialized manufacturer in Japan. Our corporate philosophy is to contribute to the safety, security, and convenience of society. We are expanding the application of our products according to various frequency bands. We support communications and broadcasting infrastructure. We supply public radio for disaster prevention, digital radio for firefighting, filters that correspond to each of the VHF, UHF and microwave bands, general-purpose broadband amplifiers, multi-channel amplifiers, etc. We supply our products to overseas measuring instrument manufacturers in the field of voltage probes for oscilloscopes indispensable for HF measurement. These are the only such products with the Made-in-Japan brand.

We hope to contribute to society through technology, with the motto of “creative technical development in HF and optical transmission technology.” We have been working hard to continue with R&D and enhance our technological power, including optical transmission technology. This is how we have produced many products as a dedicated manufacturer of HF transmission equipment since our foundation in 1971. Person-to-person communications and communications from the Earth to space have been evolving toward higher speed and higher density. We are proud of our HF and optical transmission technology, which has contributed to progress in these fields. Our “challenge to create the future” is to continue such contributions. Our company will continue to be strongly focused on technology. We hope to respond to customer views and keep up with the times through careful dialogues as a dedicated manufacturer supporting the evolution of communications.

[Strength of products/technologies]
[Technology aspect]
In 2012 we succeeded in development of the world’s first ultra-small terahertz wave sensing probe. This was done under joint research with the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT).
[Product aspect] Our ROF-Link is a highly versatile electrical-to-optical (E/O) and optical-to-electrical (O/E) transducer. It makes use of technology (Radio Over Fiber) in which an optical signal is intensity-modulated by a radio signal and transmitted through an optical fiber.
ROF-Link is made as a compact, solid unit in order to be utilized with the feeling of connecting a coaxial cable. Transmission loss is substantially smaller than that of coaxial cable transmission, and EMS performance is excellent because the optical fiber is an insulator. Cost performance is also excellent. We can offer it at a reasonable price.

“We should become a specialized HF manufacturer with supreme technology, rather than remaining as a subcontractor.” This was the principle of our founder. This belief has raised our company, and we are now creating many valuable products. We hope to maintain our focus on technology, and to expand our transactions beyond fields or boundaries as a specialized manufacturer that supports evolving communications. We want to use our probe-related products and HF and optical transmission equipment to make the appeal that our company can make such products. We then want to support secondary needs by trying to make applied products. Our target is to be a unique, global niche top company.

We have acquired the following certifications from the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA):
Environmental Management System (EMS) corresponding to international standards (ISO/JISQ 14001:2004 [certification number JQA-EM 3514]).
Quality Management System (QMS) corresponding to international standards (ISO/JISQ 9001:2008 [certification number: JQA-1875:]).
We are maintaining these certifications. We have also acquired Integrated Management System certification (IMS; certification number: JQA-IG0037-05), to which the EMS/QMS was integrated by the JQA. We are making use of this certification as a management tool. Our products comply with the RoHS Environment Order defined by the European Commission. We also declare CE marking and acquire UL authentication as required.
