[Company strength]
We have extensive machining know-how from light materials to difficult-to-cut materials. Our company has also introduced the latest equipment such as 3D scanners, laser surface reforming devices, and 5-axis machining tools to respond to various requests. We also have other special technologies such as plaster fabrication and polyurethane coating. We can create data from a model when it is difficult to express products with 3D CAD. We established a plant in Thailand for plastic molds, die cast molds, and press mold maintenance. We have a partner plant in China (mold maker) where mold parts and set molds are manufactured based on the required quality and cost.

[Business description]
We design and manufacture metal press molds, Mg/Al die cast molds, hydraulic press molds for ceramics (powder soot), mechanical press molds, and molds for civil engineering and ship rubber parts. We also manufacture mold and machine parts, and conduct R&D on service life extension by the use of ceramics as mold material.

[Industry]
Mold manufacturing

[Strength of products/technologies]
Molds are important tools for forming various parts. Mold making requires extensive know-how to form the parts accurately. Technologies such as machining of metal materials, EDM, and surface treatment are just a few examples of that know-how. Our company works with universities and public institutions on mold technology development and prototype manufacturing. We also collaborate with a ceramic maker regarding materials other than molds. This is done to develop cost-effective mold technology by using ceramic material for molds, to prolong service life and add new properties.

[Representative's message]
In 1980 we were established as an independent company from being a mold department of a tile forming press maker. Since then our company has manufactured a wide range of molds such as tile forming molds, and forming molds for steel wheels for passenger cars. In 2012 we established a mold maintenance plant in Thailand jointly with a die cast and plastic mold maker. We intend to use the know-how on die cast and plastic molds we acquired through this experience to try more challenging technologies. Our goal is to deliver cost-effective molds to our customers from our domestic and overseas sites.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
Support for new customers is overseen by the president, and inquiries from domestic customers are responded to by the domestic sales department. Technical consultations are provided by the production director and designers. Our president, the local subsidiary president, and our sales representative loaned to the subsidiary work together as a point of contact for overseas customers. Our loaned engineer provides technical consulting in meetings. A designer will be sent from Japan whenever necessary. We will proactively take necessary actions for both domestic and overseas customers.

[Market share/Ranking]
We have acquired 45% of the domestic Japanese market for steel and aluminum wheel forming molds, 35% of the domestic Japanese market for tile forming molds, 10% of the market for passenger car muffler parts press molds, and 10% of other markets.
