Sustainability transformation (SX) for Japan by mobilizing the power of people to take on social issues
We are building a system to upcycle unused and low-use resources, mainly 25.31 million tons of food-derived waste, etc., including inedible parts of vegetables (cores, skins, and stems), fish, and other foods, into edible raw materials and distribute them. We will take on the challenge of creating new social value by acting as a catalyst to create chemical reactions between social entrepreneurs who are working to solve social issues and people and companies interested in these activities.
LOCAL GOOD business
Firefighting uniforms × UPCYCLE Together with the Chigasaki City Fire Department and Teijin Limited, which holds the top share of the Japanese market for firefighting uniforms, we are working to upcycle fireproof clothing that was planned for disposal. This breathes new life into fireproof garments that have worked to protect the public.
